Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo games would be so much better on another system or PC.

Majority of Nintendo games are on the PC anyway. :P Just through less than ideal means. (Legalities of which vary from region to region, thus by extension your mileage may vary.)
In Glorious 1440P-1600P-4k no-less!

I would love to see it happen, doubt it will.
I think if Nintendo were ever to exit the hardware business, they would probably become mobile developers for iOS/Android/Windows Phone as that's more where their targeted audience tends to reside.

Im already short on time for games I want to play, so even if nintendo games were available on the systems I own, I wouldnt give them priority, so it would be pointless to me.

Nintendo hardware and software are done by two different departments. I am not sure why you would think that software developers are working on hardware?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I think Nintendo might have to sooner or later unless they can come up with another DS/Wii.

Nintendo games are best on Nintendo hardware, period.
Nintendo games on other hardware would never be a same.
If Nintendo would exit hardware market and release only games, that will be beginning of the end of Nintendo.

It's simple, if you want to play Nintendo games, buy Nintendo hardware.

Every console game look better on PC.

I've played almost all of my Nintendo games on PC and you're absolutely right. It's not the same, it's better.

This!!!

I disagree.
I don't want to play their games with a circa 1997 controller, and I doubt their games would be as great if they were handicapped by having to develop across multiple different consoles instead of specializing to one.

I´m not sure about that. Maybe that would be true for some games, but not for others.

Some Nintendo games are made according to the hardware tools, that said, games like Pikmin 3, Nintendoland, Wonderful 101, wouldn´t work well on either PS or MS consoles. The same can be said about a long list of DS/3DS games.

I personally think that Nintendo games could be great on a PC. If Nintendo anyday stop making consoles, and I do believe every main console manufacturer will do that someday, they will probably continue their game development for PC and tablet/phones

Let's take a look at our current generation as an example:

The price of Nintendo home console hardware: $300

Hardware + x amount of Nintendo games = $300 + ~$50x

The price of cheapest competing hardware: $400

Hardware + Nintendo games + online functions = $400 + ~$50x + $50 per year

Cost after five years of gaming = $650 + ~$50x

And yet, the second bundle doesn't even have a GamePad.
