I've been reading this forum for some time now, and had no qualms with the ads that have slowly infiltrated these forums. I understand that you have to make revenue, but reading and visiting these forums on my iPad or phone is just getting downright unbearable, I literally cannot stand all the jerking and misclicking of all the in-yo-face ads that appear and glitch the living hell out of my screen.

is there a solution? Or should I just continue to read on my laptop albeit considerably less, and just install an Adblock? Don't really want to take revenue away from this site, but it's just getting way out of control.

Trying to navigate this site on a mobile phone is nearly impossible because of the ads.

Not because they are there, but there seems to be a conflict with the ads and the structure of the site. I'm on a decent phone (iPhone 5) and this site stutters/freezes/crashes constantly. If I manage to close out the bottom ad it starts working much more smoothly.

This is why i've never bothered going on the site with my phone: i never even tried it because the interface really doesn't support it, even without the ads. Only browsing i do on my phone when i'm in time-waste mode is to TVTropes, which even with ads is more lightweight about it.

Just install adblock as soon as possible. I am pretty sure this gentleman won't mind!

Couldn't agree more. The Rio ad that is currently running is horrendous, and I have never encountered such an annoying ad in all my travels on the net. Good job to whomever sold that to VGC...someone got bamboozled, and it was probably us.

And the iPhone/iPad problem has plagued this site for years. It's partly the reason I stopped posting as much as the site seems hell bent on making the iPhone experience almost painful.

Oh well...

I installed adblocker around christmas last year. I could tolerate the adds on here since launch but in Dec they just got so bad with all the audio playiing ones it was a nightmare at work.

I absolutely hate video ads that cannot be muted, as I'm finding around the site now for Noah.  Despite having icons for sound, they do nothing.  Pathetic.
