Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why Final Fantasy 15 can easily run on Wii U

Final Fantasy X has so many things going on for it that can not represented by simple and compressed screenshots.

* The fluidity of animations in XV are unmatched, there is soft animation for almost every element like hair and cloth.

* Dynamic lightning, real-time weather simulation for the clouds, wind and water.

* Battles take place in horizontal and vertical environments,  fighting enemies hanging from tall buildings.

* Destructible objects all around you, even cars will explode if they take enough damage. Environment element can be used to finsh off the enemies.

* warping long distance in a matter of a second.

* so many things going of at the same time, ridicules amount of weapons and skills that can be used on the fly without pausing

Anyways , I'm probably talking to myself.

It will never come to the wii u. To the kids making the mock threads: you are completely, utterly pathetic.

The only thing this thread has reinforced is how inflated opinions are on X's graphics. It looks very nice, but can easily pass for a PS3/360 game.

X and Bayo 2 look impressive because the nintendo audience is literally just getting into the realm of graphically intensive games. Nintendo fans shouldn't really talk about graphics unless they actually know what they are talking about.

Seriously, whenever I see those X screenshots of that dude on the beach, I want to vomit. The edge of the water on the beach is just too jarring.

I agree the Wii U can run the game, but no way would it do it easily, it would take significant downgrades assuming the definitive version is on PS4, or at least that is where its developed.

I only parodied your thread because your method of argument was completely ludicrous.

But even if the game was avaliable on the Wii U, why in the hell would you want to get it on that system? It would be a terrible port, and then when it got shit for sales and lose SE money (validating the decision to not have it on wii u in the first place) , you would say it was there fault for not porting the game well. Playing Sonic Unleashed on the PS3 and then the Wii was literally one of the worst experinces I've had gaming, and I've played games at 5 fps!

I tell you what, shitty ports on the wii u are infinetly better than porting up from developing on the wii u because the game would be held back and the ps4/xb1 would just have the silly embelishments usually reserved for pc like turning up the reso from 1080 to 2160, something utterly worthless unless you have a tv that can do 4k.

No, the gap is real and it is significant to expect downgrades, I'd rather the wii u get shitty ports or better no ports at all, so that the other platforms get more attention, and as a 1st party dominated machine, I have no problem with it unless they get games to validate the price.

Can it run? Yes. Will it release on Wii U? Look at Crysis 3 on Wii U...oh wait...

The sad part about Crysis 3 is that it was practically finished on Wii U and EA pulled it.

Scalability/eDRAM == Teh Cell/Teh cloud

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

No, no it can't Zero. Not without major downgrades. You're too obsessed with resolution. The PS4 and XBO each have 8GB or ram, while the WiiU only has 2GB. That isn't just going to hurt the graphics, it will affect level size, number of enemies on screen, AI intelligence, and so on.

Nope. and your RAM comparisson is shallow. like I said, it was discussed to hell and back.

Prove it. Show me some evidence that RAM limitiations aren't holding back WiiU games from getting next gen ports.

Why don't you offer proof of the contrary? I didn't realize AI requires tremendous amounts of RAM? As far as I was concerned, AI is more CPU intensive.

The AI was just one example. The fact that the WiiU isn't getting next gen ports from games like Arkham Knight and Evolve should be proof enough that there technical limitations on the console. If it was truly easy to port a game over from the PS4/XBO without any major downgrades then we would be seeing a lot more 3rd party ports. You really think that the WiiU having 1/4 the RAM of next consoles doesn't make it underpowered?

This thread is about as redundant as my post.

I already did. why don't you answer the question: if it would take major downgrades, how is it possible that other games show similar graphics? you're just being stuborn.

as for the RAM: edram, scalability... the usual.

Nothing on WiiU looks like FFXV, the hell you talking about?

Why do people still try to convince him, I really don't understand D:

i laugh at all the images in this thread from both sides. Images are meaningless as they are compressed. HD video s what is needed for this argument to see how the games flow in real time not some snapshot.

If SE thinks that the game will sell enough on Wii U it would be on Wii U. It just happens that they don't think so, like most of the 3rd parties.
