I never have and I've played since Red/Blue. Trading and event Pokemon focus too much on the Japanese, where everyone lives on top of each other. In the United States people are more spread out. Making it difficult to complete the dex.

I got all 150 of them in Red and 230ish in Silver.

I got all 151 in Red. Didn't even try in Silver, didn't even play R/S/E until way later, tried in Pearl but my copy got stolen, didn't try in B/W/B2/W2, and I'm gradually getting there in X.

I'm working on not just completing the Pokedex, but doing a LIVING Pokedex, like supermario128 up there. A Living 'Dex is when you have one of every single Pokemon actually present in your Bank or PC, and in order at that.

Yes!  I actually had to catch it in Emerald and then transfer it over.

May Pokedex was full in my Pokemon Pearl edition. And now I am still trying^^

I got all 150 in Blue back in the day once! And all you get is a stupid little certificate..

If you guys have White(2)/Black(2) check out pokedit.com! It lets you send Exclusive Event Pokemon to your game and transport them to X and Y  because they are legitimate copies!  [http://www.pokedit.com/support/gts-how-to-send-pokemon-to-your-game.php ]

Here's a video that describes it but that weblink is very helpful! It has detailed instructions and illustrations to set up and send pokemon to your game!
