Forums - Gaming Discussion - Can this laptop run League of Legends?

So I have a friend who has a pretty shitty laptop but he runs League of Legends up to 8 fps. Sometimes he has some bursts where he gets 15 fps, so he can run the game! I should also mention that he uses game booster but the difference is minimal.

These are his stats: It's a Compaq Laptop, it has 2,5 GB of ram. The useless graphic card that comes with the laptop and well... it's a pretty old model. Here is a picture of the laptop.

So what can we do guys? Is there no way to help my friend? Any help is appreciated, since we don't know anything about PC/Laptops!

Is there like a model number or a complete specs list cause LoL can run on anything, specially on low graphics settings

Oh sure, it's a Compaq Presario C500!

Hmmm, here, go to this site

and follow the instructions

Edit: And see if there is any issues cause it should tell u if it doesn't meet any requirements

I think his laptop  meets all the minimum requirements so it's weird because he has everything on low and he still gets 8fps. And sometimes he even drops to 1 fps .

Hmm, that is weirdly low even with a bad laptop for LoL. What OS is he running?

The bottleneck is the CPU. You can't upgrade it so there is nothing to do than use other hardware.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Did he set the lowest options on everything?

He is running on Vista, but I think it's supported on the requirements from the game. So yeah it's weird because I'm using an equally shitty PC and mine runs at 30 fps.

That would explain things... cause Vista was and still is a shitty OS that puts stress on PC even if the PC is doing nothing and those specs running windows Vista = gg loll. Either get Windows XP (but idk if the drivers are there) Or Windows 7 cause I think thats the only way for it to work
