Nintendo for a lot of its fans is almost like a personal friend, like someone you grew up with, so when they dissapoint it hurts, lol. Still wouldn't be caught dead doing that on Youtube though I can sympathize where he's coming from.
The video didn't come off nearly as nerdy/dorky as it could've been.
With Nintendo it's almost like if they cared half as much as this guy cares they'd be in a far better spot. This guy bleeds Nintendo. In a lot of ways their fans want Nintendo to do better sometimes than Nintendo seems to want it themselves (see: their non-chalant attitude in marketing the Wii U).
The Wii U would be far better off if Nintendo actually had people like this guy working for them at NOA and allowed it to be part of their corporate culture. You need to have some passion, some sizzle in your company, I think Nintendo's aloofish strictly Japanese approach is sometimes charming, but also can be maddening.
