I have no expectations for Star Wars anymore. If it ends up being watchable I will be pleased.

As for Pixar I am hopeful they manage to get original films in along with this wave of sequels after an era of unique projects.

I really enjoyed the 3rd one.

Erm...the third what? Third Pixar film? Third Star Wars film?

Around the Network

of course i'm very interested and will be there at midnight to see it, but there is so much room for error here it's scary. all i can say is i hope it's good.

That was good news. The expanded universe is a mess. This gives them more focus.

As far as SWTOR goes, you have my firm disagreement. I love it, but EA was quick to kill any meaningful support for it.

There were some bad entries in the Expanded Universe, but there was also alot of good, particularly where characters are concerned. I'm ok with a new plot in the 3rd trilogy since the plot was pretty lousy after 25 ABY, but I fear they will redesign or write out many of those good characters.

I wasn't talking about SWTOR, I was referring to the new Star Wars RPG that Bioware began work on after EA signed the 10 year Star Wars game deal over the summer. SWTOR was ok though, combat was kind of boring like most WoW clones, but the story was pretty good (minus what they did to Revan and the Exile). Stopped playing because it was melting my aged gaming PC, lol.

Oh... i didnt know they were making a new one. If its anything like KOTOR it could be good.

it will be better than the prequels...

Even though abrams isn't very original, pretty much every movie/show he's created is better than the star wars prequels, especially from a critical standpoint. I've always thought he would be a better fit for star wars than Star Trek.

Fringe.
Lost.
Super 8.

He did direct Star Trek, both were a bit too star warsy but the second one was better imo. And all were better than the prequels. It just was pretty much 2 or 3 star trek movie plots mashed into a new movie in a parallel universe..
