Ys is actually by Nihon Falcom, not Sony. It's also a series that appears mostly on Nintendo systems, rather than Playstation.

There have been more iterations of Ys on PSP/Vita than there have been on PC/DS in recent years. The ones appearing on PC/DS are remakes generally, while the Playstation games are new iterations in the series. And yes, I was aware that Nihon Falcom is the developer.
