Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Pictures Shutters Interactive Division, Prepare to announce layoffs in Studio Operations

http://www.nbcnews.com/business/economy/sony-pictures-announce-layoffs-studio-operations-source-n54981

Sony fans continue to ignore the desperate financial situation their favorite company faces as massive layoffs are announced. Large 'at a loss' sales of their new console can't possibly patch their bleeding finances.

It's the 1,000 freshly unemployed workers that really need the reassurance.

Those pesky Sony fans.

I look forward to the day when Microsoft buy the PlayStation brand.

Kinda awfull timing when Spiderman 2 is almost releasing.. So that division doesnt even get the chance to turn things around with a better movie.. Sad.. Kinda what happend to smaller sony game studios who underperformed sales wise..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Im a Sony fan and Sony isnt my favorite company. What an absolute asinine thing to say. Also, there is no need for Sony fans to give a shit about news and acting like people should let this effect their gaming taste is just plain stupid thing to do

Sony's gaming division is flourishing, while their other dep'ts aren't. That's that.

I will be really suprised if Spiderman 2 has better ratings than the 1st.

But regardless, doesn't this kinda throw a wrench into the plans of having yearly Spiderman movies?
