The forums are okay, but the homepage still takes forever to load.

Yeah I was wondering about this, accessing the site takes like 20 s for me, but once in it's fast again. Weird.

Since a few days was working bad the homepage, looks like it's fixed (for now).

Same as everyone else: the homepage takes forever and the forums are fine.

I've had no issues what-so-ever, I wasn't even aware there was a problem with the site until now.

I have a fully updated and constantly active version of Adblock Plus as well as AVG Safe Search active at all times. I also actively use Greasemonkey when I feel it's necessary for removing scripts I feel damage the online experience. I've got a customised Adblock Plus rule-set that blocks pretty much every advert and I've also added literally every single animated .GIF in the signatures of the members here to my filter. (Seriously, load times for this website more than triple if you load all the insane signatures).

I would strongly recommend people look into getting these add-ons and extensions, they make using the internet a whole lot better and if you genuinely care about ensuring financial compensation you can always whitelist a site, (which I do very very rarely).

As for the Admin/Moderators, I think this is a good time to look into the advertising on the site, as well as the use of signatures. If I'm not getting a problem but everyone else is; clearly I'm blocking whatever is causing the problem.
