What the subject says. What are the old and new features you want to see the most in Mario Kart 8? I have some features that I want to see in MK8  myself of course. I am going to leave out obvious choices like a Double Dash mode or a track editor ( not saying I don't want those in the game, but I want to make the list a bit interesting).

     1. Mission Mode from MKDS- The mission mode from MKDS was great. It offered many different challenges, it had enough content and it even had some awesome bosses at the end of each level like the Goomba King from Paper Mario and the Bully from Mario 64. A new Mission Mode with even more levels, a bigger variety of challenges and more bosses ( Imagine General Guy from Paper Mario as a boss in Mario Kart 8. That would be so damn cool) would be a welcomed addition!

    2. Customizable emblems from MKDS- I was never great at making emblems myself, but I saw on Google some emblems that truly show how passionate some people can be about gaming. Bringing back this feature while using Miiverse in some kind of unique way would be cool. I've heard people say that some jerks would  create inappropriate emblems, but I am pretty sure Miiverse moderators could take care of them, so that's not really such a big issue, now is it?

   3. Rear View Mirror using the GamePad- Super Mario Kart- This is a cool feature that only appeared in Super Mario Kart for whatever reason ( Nintendo got lazy. That must be the explanation) and I always wanted to it to make a come back. With the GamePad it seems like this feature can easily make a comeback. On the TV you have the action from the typical Mario Kart point of view and on the GamePad you have the mirrored pint of view. It's not something VERY important, but it would be cool to have it in the game if you ask me.

 4. Battle Mode from MK64 and MKDS- The Battle Mode in MK64 and MKDS is pure awesomeness. The time based battle modes are simply not as fun. What I liked about the battle mode in MK64/MKDS is that the battles could last for minutes and everything would become much better when the AI was set to hard. They should also bring back memorable courses like Block Fort, Twilight  House ( I always loved  this one for whatever reason) and Double Deck ( They could also add new courses of course. That should be a given if balloon battle returns). Just like the Mission Mode, this could make the single player experience last much longer and it would make veerything much better!

So, what are the old/features yo uwant to see the most in MK8?

Special, Character Specific Items from MKDD. One of the things that makes Nintendo games with this many characters fun is the character specific items/specials like how they do it in Smash Bros with the Final Smash. Dooo itttt

Pretty much everything in the OP, especially the custom emblems. They probably wont return though since they'd look like crap compared to the rest of the game's graphics. They could still do what Uncharted 3 did though by using interchangeable premade designs, so here's hoping!

All star cup or whatever it was called from DD. I loved being able to just go through a ton of races and the scores carrying over. That way if you mess up really bad in one, it doesn't kill your score

Snaking.

The feather! It was a life savor in the original and the key to many great shortcuts.

Mission mode is my number one. I don't buy a game unless I think it's got enough content, so MKDS was the last Mario Kart game I felt was worth buying. Double drivers is also something that should have never left.

Battle mode from Super mario kart!!!

I'd say mission mode and bring back the good old battle mode. I'm sure the game will be fantastic whatever they do, mario kart always is.
