Forums - Gaming Discussion - Would you buy an episodic Resident Evil game?

Starting with Resident Evil 4, Capcom started releasing a couple of small "campaigns" to coincide with the main campaign of the Resident Evil game either at launch or later as DLC. Assignment Ada & Desperate Escape were ok, but I think Seperate Ways and Lost in Nightmare were excellent. If Capcom decided to make the next Resident Evil episodic by releasing 2-3 hrs, $10-$15 short campaigns, would you be ok with it or do you prefer to a full 8-10 hr campaign?

Around the Network

I would but knowing CrapCom, they will release each ep for $60 and they will be 1 hour each and Also there would be no horror either

As long as they are more like RE4/Revelations vs RE5/RE6 than I would be fine with it.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

the main campaign of RE4 is longer than the campaigns in the older RE.

If they did what they did for RE which was one longer campaign, and 3 couple hour campaigns yes. I would.

They shouldn't do what they did for RE6 which was make a 30 hour game, that was largely mediocre (except for mercenaries which was fantastic0.

Capcom should not release any RE games for the next 5 years and then do a reboot. The series has lost value.

In the meantime they can resurrect Dino Crisis and Onimusha.

That's what they should do.

To answer the question in the OP: Hell no. I wouldn't by any Resident Evil game except the old ones (RE 1-4).
