Digimon is as off the map as Yu-Gi-Oh, they are lost in the woods in fact. They won't find their way out easily, if at all.

So yeah, no. This game won't bring Digimon out of the woods onto the map.

Digimon will never be as far of the map as Yugioh, the premise is far more accessable and sellable. The 2012 PSP game sold 200k in Japan, that not huge but its a decent number for a 3rd party titles.

Yugioh is much much more popular, why do you guys think its not? Just video game but Yugioh >>> Digimon in everything else practically. Heck as Pokemon is king of handhelds, yugioh is almost at the top of card games.

Are you sure about that? Both are pretty far down the hole. Although Digimon does have more games released recently, it seems. So that's a plus. (Although the sales of these recent games aren't the best.)

@Tbone; Of course I'm talking about the videogames. I'm well aware the card game is still doing pretty well, sadly.

I was refering to games, I since edited the post.

It'd be easier to put it back on the map if it ever was on the map in the first place. Can't put something back where it never was, you know.

It looks great, if they bring it to the west I would buy it. Responding the question: not even Vita is on the map now.

Totally offtopic but I approve of your avatar, as little as I know about it. (And yes, I think I do have an idea about where it's from.)

Are you not aware that Digimon was hugely popular back in the 90's? Particularily the anime and card game but the original trilogy of video games was pretty successful.  I'm taking this as a sign that you probably a teenager who was just a baby during that time or not even around.

I think I've actually seen a few episodes from the anime and no, it was never popular here. It always stayed in the shadow of Pokemon, and I've never heard about it having any great success elsewhere either. Some moderate success, maybe, but nothing too big. Or maybe I'm just ignorant as I haven't really done my research here. As for my age, you're very quick to jump to assumptions because you could easily have seen my age on my profile. Hint: You guessed wrong, by up to a decade or so.

Where I'm from it was just as big if not bigger than Pokemon. The anime I mean not the games.

Not true at all, when both anime's came on, Pokemon Blue/Red came out. 33mil+ bought the games, that right there tells you the anime was bigger cuz kids were getting the toys (games/ trading cards)

I do personally love how digimon season 1 was so great though, the better anime of both first seasons imo was definitely Digimon. Digimon season 2 was good as well but they started killing it afterward :-/ (anime)

I think the anime was just as strong. Monster rancher 1 and 2 outsold Digimon world 1 and 2 but digimon was definitely a lot bigger then monster rancher. I would say the pokemon games sold the anime rather then the anime selling the games...

I'll be honest, this reminded me that I really like some of the Digimon designs, some of them are great. That production value though, I'm most likely getting this, haven't played a Digimon game since PS1.
