The most recent alternative, considering only mech games, is Hawken, that is MP-only too, but it's free to play.
Alternatives with large SP campaigns are almost all quite old or even very old.

None of them hold a candle to Steel Battalion, Microsoft's best IP ever.

The poll question should be changed to "Will you buy a MP only game for $60 in the future?"

Not for 60$ And sadly I feel that the evil coorporation that is EA once again setted a new precedent that will become the norme just like they did with DLCs and microtrasactions.

Last gen we saw slowly the appearance of DLC and by the end of the gen it was the norm. We used to get for 60$ a full game. For example, do you remember when for 60$ for a fighting game you had 30to 50 characters and now you have 20... followed by dozens that you have to pay for. That's because someone started it, they tryed to see if customers would fell for it. They did and now every company are doing it.

In 5 to 10years we will think ''remember when last gen we got for 60$ a campaign AND online?! That was good times huh?'' And we will blame greedy publishers for offering us just a multiplayer mode with a few maps for 60$, while the truth is that all those who bought Titan Fall that allowed this precedent to become the new standard are those who are to blame.

I'd buy Halo 2 Anniversary just for the MP. I won't even touch the campaign, the MP in Halo 2 is my favorite of any series. I just hope when they remake it that they keep the same settings and gameplay glitches and all.

I have to agree. It was the same issue with Warhawk. I liked playing it, but it wasn't enough without an actualy campaign. I think the next TitanFall will have a singleplayer/multiplayer campaign. And I mean a real one.

Was Warhawk priced at $60?  I could be wrong, but I thought it was retailed at $40.

The digital download was cheaper than the retail version, but I don't remember the amounts.

Yeah me too. I wouldn't do that for any other game though. So many COD players just buy COD every year for the multiplayer.

29.99$ on PSN, 59.99$ with a bluetooth headset and 39.99$ with an usb headset. I spent more than 1000 hours on warhawk and broke 2 controllers from wear and tear, it was well worth it

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I'm curious, was it not known before release that TF was online only? if I picked it up at the store, got home and then found this out I'd be really pissed. I answered no to your poll but wanted to explain some, I'm planning on getting Elder Scrolls Online, but don't consider it the same as TF.

I'll buy a single player only game or multi player only game if it appeals to me.

Games that offer both great multiplayer and single player are preferred. But not everything can be Halo or Gears of War.

Exactly my thought process. It depends all on the consumer and their tastes.
