Biology. I thought crossed my mind the other day: What if homosexuality is evolution's way of keeping population numbers in check? I know, it's probably nonsense but I found the thought amusing.

As for the hating part, moral rules coming from different sources (religions) say homosexuality is bad and people have been raised according to those rules, so... Also, people have a tendency to fear everything different.

The true answer is that scientifically the penis is made to enter the vagina.. women produce feminine estrogen, men produce manly testosterone.... Scientifically they are meant to go together that's why it is the norm lol.. Im bi tho.. so I clearly don't follow the norm and support anyone who is different than the norm :)

Notice how the OP did not say "100% heterosexuality"

O/T: Ask God why it's the norm. Although I would imagine it'd be quite hard to keep a species thriving in a society where the majority of people weren't interested in taking part in the activity that allows for reproduction

Heterosexuality is needed for reproduction. Without it we'd have gone instinct. That's why it's the norm.

Why do some hate homosexuals I'm not too sure actually. I don't think religion is the biggest reason. I think it's just that the child grows up only seeing heterosexuals therefore he innately feels like homosexuality is wrong and shouldn't happen.
