Would you buy a Metroid Spinoff?

Absolutely. I've said for some that the only way to make Metroid relevant is to mix up the name and formula.

As long as it has a crap ton of blood and explosions, the answer is YES.

If it seemed like a good game with good review scores, then absolutely!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Definitely. It would rank around the likes of Halo, Killzone, and TitanFall.

No, Metroid is not very appealing it itself to justify the creation of one.

Would I buy it? No, because I don't care for FPS very much. Should it be made? Yes, because Nintendo needs to broaden its horizons and expand the Metroid universe.

Titanfall is a better example for Nintendo to follow if they want to get into the FPS market, the idea being that they need to come up with a unique hook which is something more than a gimmick and really opens up distinct gameplay possibilities.

(nor am i saying copy titanfall, i'm saying copy the ideas that led Respawn to make Titanfall).

It's the only way if Nintendo wanted to get into that market.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Nintendo needs an online FPS game so badly.

It would basically be Assassin's Creed IV but in SSSSPPPPPPAAACCCCEEEEEE!

You are acting as if this is a good thing.

Depends on how close this is to your average military first person shooter. If it managed to put some unique twist on things that differentiated it from the rank and file of FPSs, such as, say, putting a heavier emphasis on parkour to the extent of almost fusing Mirror's Edge and an FPS, then sure, I'd be for it. Or maybe creating some sort of horror survival game from a first person perspective (what ZombiU should have been); survive in the post X-outbreak BSL for as long as possible.

If it's just going to be your standard military FPS, just with a different coat of paint, then forget it.
