So, my friend's EVGA card just broke for a second time (two different cards), and it made me think about this again. Is EVGA really a good brand? I've owned two EVGA cards myself, one broke when I owned it, and the other broke immediately after I sold it. One didn't work in sli. And those are just the ones I can remember. Of all of the cards I have come into contact with, EVGA has been by far the least reliable. Every one of mine, or my friends' whose owned one has broken within a year besides two exceptions. Do other people agree with this, or is this problem exclusive to me?

I don't know if EVGA is actually bad but why would anyone buy those if there are Gigabyte and Asus?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

They are a good brand but nothing beats Asus imo

My friend went through like 5 8800s back then and it was from EVGA... But the 8800s were prone to breaking a lot though

I've owned 1 mobo and a couple of video cards from EVGA in the past, and never had a problem with them. Their lifetime warranty is pretty good. Every brand isn't perfect anyways. It's who has the best RMA.

Not going to say they had bad customer service because that would be a lie. But I've gotta say, I've seen better. My MSI motherboard broke (completely my fault, I was an idiot), and I submitted and had my RMA approved in the same day. It took me 3 days to get my EVGA RMA approved and much hoop jumping. I'd rather just never have to call tech support, but maybe that's just me.

Is Microsoft a good brand? All my friend's 360s broke.

I don't see the point you're trying to make here. I would argue that the 360 was a very bad console until the new model came out (which still at discs). If everything you make breaks, you're not very good at what you do.

My point is it didn't stop anyone buying MS products, because their return policy/service was good and because the alternatives weren't much better.
