There isn't enough time in the world to explain all of Other M's failings. 

Well, explain some that are not story, riddley scene, Samus' baby obsession and first person view.

What's wrong with level design?

And FP view isn't as bad to ruin completly the other magnificent part of the gameplay.

Oh, nothing is wrong with the linearity. Besides it the biggest reason why I will never play though the game ever again, while I will replay Metroid Prime several times in the near future.

I liked the game as an action/adventure game, but as a Metroid game it definitely failed. I don't understand all the complaints about the FP view, I never had any trouble (probably just once) and I liked it.

What sucks about this game for me were the following things:

-Samus maternal instincts "The baby baby baby baby"
-Boring music or no music at all!
-Too linear
-No much variety of things to find, 90% of hidden stuff were just missiles
-Waiting to use weapons until Adam gave you permission (terrible excuse for game design)

But still, I really liked it and had a good time with it. Not the best Metroid but good action game for me.

I would not say that I'm a hater. I genuiely gave it a chance and tried to like it. But I was ultimately very disappointed by what I PERSONALY felt was a very under-par, half-baked "Metroid" game. That is only my opinion though, and if you liked it, then cheers.
