Why do people still think XB1 is going to fall to WiiU levels?

Forums - Sales Discussion - Why do people still think XB1 is going to fall to WiiU levels?

Most of them Sony fanboys.

Because they don't appreciate the fact that the Xbone isn't anywhere near as irredeemably fucked the Wii U is.

People said it because they were going by VGC numbers. It wasn't some kind of public perception or something pulled out of their ass. In prior weeks, VGC had WiiU at like 49K and XBone at 56K. Was it unreasonable for people to say "XBone is selling WiiU numbers"? Obviously, VGC was inaccurate with regard to that. But it's dishonest to say people were "trolling" by saying the XBone is at WiiU levels when on this very site, the numbers backed up those statements. Nobody knew the numbers were wrong until NPD came out the other day. But don't use that as a launching pad to jump on people who were just using the same numbers you were using before NPD came out. You're only changing your tune because NPD was in your favor this month. Had VGC actually been accurate for February, this thread wouldn't exist

WiiU's first february worldwide - 138k~
WiiU's second february worldwide - 159k~

XB1's first february in the US - 258k.

It's not the case, XB1 has been doing 65k~ in the US alone weekly this past month.

Because it has the fewest number of compelling exclusives + tends to get the watered-down versions of games compared to PS4.

As Sony and Nintendo release their exclusives, X1 seems more like an overpriced PS4 or a gaming PC with fewer game options.

That doesn't seem to be the case right now? XB1 has sold more software at retail in the US than PS4 and WiiU, that's thanks to Dead Rising, Forza and Ryse (and soon to be Titanfall). If any systems exclusives are selling well/being talked about it's XB1's (and PS4 when they release).

It's still weak reasoning given the facts.

i'd like to say you have a valid point to make...

...but you're OP counters your own arguments when you post numbers for 1 country that just so happens to be xbox's best region.

Doesn't matter. If XB1 is smashing WiiU sales with just one region, adding the other regions will just make it more obvious. If you want to apply the 2:1 margin tho WW XB1 sales should be at 387k WW for February.

That's not much to go by.The Wii U didn't have a system seller like Titanfall early on. Without Titanfall X1 levels wouldn't be nearly as high. Let's wait for May. If it still sells that well by then I might consider.

WiiU has had plenty of system sellers in the past tho. Last November it had Super Mario and Black Friday and it managed 220k. That's less than this month for XB1 and Titanfall isn't out yet ... how do you explain that?

WiiU is paltry in the Europe (On par or below X1) and Japan now too so it's a valid debate.

That's no system sellers, as you could see.
Seeing how X1 is a solely american centric console it's no surprise that it is doing better than WiiU in US. The Xbox fanbase is just bigger in the US.

In Europe it is currently barely keeping up with an already doomed console.

edit: confused the wrong charts.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Because Europe and Japan are a thing.

Europe XB1 is doing better than WiiU, and Japan WiiU has dropped to 7k weekly. What's your point?

To answer the op they don't think they wish.
