Forums - Gaming Discussion - What Will You Say If Xbox One Games Start Running At 1080p 60fps?

I am curious because many people seem to think Xbox One cannot achieve that level of performance that you see on the Playstation 4?

When Microsoft release their latest SDK (Software Development Kit) Developers will be able to run game at 1080p 60fps.

Here's quote directly from an article.

Will the process become easier over time as understanding of the hardware improves? “Definitely, yeah. They are releasing a new SDK that’s much faster and we will be comfortably running at 1080p on Xbox One. We were worried six months ago and we are not anymore, it’s got better and they are quite comparable machines ".

I believe games being released in 6 months will be performing at that level.

So what will be your reaction if this starts to happen.

I'd say its about time... I hope for MS that it won't be to little to late.

I think you have enough posts at 50 to create a thread.

If it happens, MS fan boys will start thinking that resolution matters. 1080p is the way to go. And in fact as it's one the most important thing, that definitely proves Xbox One power. That will a complete and absurd change of mind, anybody will laugh at them for years, but they will feel no shame, not even a second.

I will keep saying that PS4 games look better for a better price if it's still the case. The hardware gap is not gonna disappear, Sony 1st party that are so good at taking the max of their hardware will not all die tonight, Sony's SDK is said to be very good so the chance it get bad are very thin, and whatever the hardware and SDK, there is trade off for a better resolution... so even if MS achieve 1080p for most games, there is good chance gap will still be there.

It is supposed to be running at those specs in the first place.

Doesn't Monster Hunter 3 on Wii U run at 1080P & 60fps?

The frame rate and resolution are a single metric of the games requirements.

I have to chuckle at the persistent "deal with it" comments. What does anyone need to deal with? No one is debating that the PS4 is more powerful than the XB1. That is well accepted by both PS4 and XB1 fans. It is the PS4 fans that can't seem to get over it. They seem to try to find a way to say that unless a game is 1080p/6ofps that it is not a good game or the buyer is getting screwed. Developers have to make trade offs to get the PS4 to produce that result as well. Something is being dialed back in every game regardless of whether it is for the XB1 or PS4. The tech in these systems is not high end.

So, what does that mean? That in some cases, the PS4 will possibly have more detail or will run slightly smoother. It will be up to the game developers to decide how much. Does it mean the PS4 version is better? That is what the real debate is about. The only time it will matter is when your on a internet forum. When you are playing the game, you don't have time to count pixels....

Best post yet,thanks alot.
