3DS sales are pretty soft honestly, the PSP compartively in its third Feburary on market (NPD) sold 243k, the 3DS looks like it did about 160k. No point in comparing to the DS as that's just unfair at this point. 

Nintendo probably doesn't feel like crowing too much about it. 

People who don't think the handheld business isn't absolutely being rocked by the smartphone/tablet rise are in pure denial, 3DS + Vita combined can't even sniff prime PSP numbers anymore. 

There will be a new Nintendo portable (hybrid?) in 2015, I'd bet money on it. 

I dont think people who want a playstation care about security breaches (get it... because of the PSN hack). Thus it wouldnt bother them picking up at Target.

Also, like I said. It was an organized thing. They had ads the week before ready to send out notifying Ps4s availbilty. Emails were sent to hold ps4s for that week if stores recieved them early. But even when I say massive shipments I do mean relative to target. Im pretty sure they are dwarfed by Gamestop or so.

of course, imagine if there weren't smartphone/tablets? Anywayz 3DS has done enough, im thinking 3DS lifetime sales now (Worldwide) will be between 60mil-80mil. It really depends, nintendo can definitely give it a price cut/another model/etc. But in todays world HH wont be like they use to.

Vita is lucky it has Sony brand. I said this awhile back but people say nintendo no 3rd party this and that, then i look at 3DS and Vita support and despite in japan 3DS=15mil+ and Vita at (i think 2.2mil-2.5mil?) there are so many developers working on vita. Not trying to start a war but it doesn't matter if nintendo does well hardware wise.

But I see NPD numbers, don't you? hmmmm maybe it's an illusion.... 

npd doesn't give numbers every week only every month and what little people leak or the companies say. NPD doesn't give world wide numbers. NPD doesn't give much for software numbers. NPD isn't a site with it's own comunitiy.

Where's your proof? I see nothing of the sort on GAF. Not to mention we don't know LR digital sales + BD being 10 days older on the market
