Forums - Sales Discussion - February 2014 NPD Thread! PS4: 285k, XBO: 258k, Wii U: 82k

175k < 3ds + vita < 180k =

The 3DS and Vita sales put together are more than 175,000 sold but less than 180,000 sold.

Edit: VGC has 3DS=153k and Vita=25k and then Together=178k. Unless 3DS is a little overtracked and vita undertracked? I dont kno why nintendo didn't just say it? Was last years #s alot more or something?

that tax return money at work:p

The american way. Instead of putting that money towards savings or to pay off loans we got to buy some expensive gadget to entertain us.

Holy Smokes!

All next gen consoles seems to be undertracked here at VGChartz.

True but Target got a decent sized shipment too though didn't it?  was just curious how gamestop was doing for shipments considering their Infamous bundle seems to be high in pre-orders.

Target isn't the biggest retailer that sells consoles. Yes they are a huge company and the 2nd biggest discount retailer after walmart, but I don't beleive they are one of the major retailer of video games. Also after the data breach a few months ago, shoppers are avoiding the store especially for big purchases. That's why their transactions and profits were down.

No clue what your point is. Doesnt matter if Target recieved the shipments or Walmart. they sold which is all thag matters and target organized it to get a crapload the week before Titanfall.

Probably likely that 3DS is down YoY, which is why Nintendo didn't want to mention it. I'm guessing 160k or so for 3DS.

So, most people got their tax refund in February, so price wasn't as much of an issue, and the PS4 was still the #1 preferred console. Nice. Even more impressive considering they were still having stock issues because of WW demand and, more importantly, the Japan launch. March is going to be fun. Seems the Titanfall Bundle is the thing to buy if you are buying a One, which seems to be selling decently, but not setting the charts on fire. And Sony seems to be flooding the US with PS4 stock in preparation for Infamous. I'm going to say that Sony is going to win March, too.

which charts?

I'm guessing he means Amazon http://www.amazon.com/best-sellers-video-games/zgbs/videogames/ref=pd_dp_ts_vg_1

Amazon and Gamestop, actually.  Really the only thing officially we have to go off of, for right now.

Yeah, but its really stupid imo. Sony never wants to give vita #s and quarterly reports combine itwith psp, and nintendo doesn't want to announce 130k-160k for 1 month? i mean we already kno last month sales were 100k, no point in hiding lmao.

Im very impressed by pokemon. Japan its doing 10k-12k a week while US is doing over 32k a week!

Yes, actually you're right. I dunno what my point was. I thought Target getting the units wouldn't mean they would all sell because of the breach, but you're say they are selling.
