So I was watching this podcast the other day and they were really talking up the new South Park game. I didn't think much of it but today I randomly decided to watch somebody's let's play just to see how it was and I was blown away. I couldn't stop watching and I just had a really strong urge to play it. I eventually forced myself to stop watching and then I bought in on Steam immediately.

I'm not a big South Park fan (not that I don't like the show, but I just haven't seen much of it), and I have done basically no research on the game whatsoever, so now that I'm waiting for it to download I'm wondering if I made a mistake. Are there any major flaws or anything I should know about? Having seen maybe only 20 episodes of the show in total, is it going to severely harm my enjoyment if I'm not that familiar with the South Park universe? Does pooping in the homes of strangers lose its appeal?

It's a game built for South Park fans. If you're not familiar with the show then most of the jokes and references will go over your head. Though the RPG mechanics are solid enough if you're a fan of the genre.

its a pretty fun RPG, mind you it is a tad short. If your a fan of southpark you will surely like it, and has plenty of references.

It's pretty good.  It lacks in depth and is fairly short but for me at least there is a lot of replayability simply in that I am a fan of the show.  I think you would enjoy it, though may not be able to appreciate it as much without having seen more of the show.

Amazing. I have never laughed so hard at a game in my life. It is completely brilliant if you're a South Park fan. But I'm not so sure how much it would resonate if you're not.

The game is really fun, but short. My biggest complains are that the game is very easy (playing it on the hardest difficulty is a must) and that there are some missable collectible items. So if you want a 100% first run, you should be really careful or use a guide for the missable items.

I love the show and loved the game.

Well I enjoy the comedic style of South Park, I just don't know a lot of the references. Do you say that because Is it's mostly referential humor, or just because the writing has that distinct South Park style?
