Nintendo's Super Mario and other IPs are 100% new and completely different games each iteration. There's a reason they sell more on one console than Madden/FIFA and other crap sells on all cosnoles combined.

Sony have been launching more new AAA IP's than nintendo do, every single year for well over a decade now.

 

edit: and when im buying uncharted, atleast I dont have to decide about picking between a red and blue version or X and Y, or whatever other bullshit they can think of.

Now Now guys... Its all about the taste... Not everyone likes Sony's first party or MS's First Party and if they have a gaming PC, there isn't that much incentive to buy a ps4 or x1 (provided you don't like their first party lineup and third party console exclusives)

Third party runs better on PC and the sales are usually cheaper and you don't have to pay yearly to have the privledge of having those cheap prices so its not that hard to see where hes coming from unless he doesn't play PC games either in which case it would be hard to see where hes coming from

This DLC image above is a perfect example of what happens when you're only focus is on short-term gains. Nintendo doesn't do this and likely never will. Its anti-consumer and focuses on giving the consumer a lower end product while increasing the price. Additionally, it ruins the IP.

I also refuse to pay for online access. There is no reason for it. PC has lived for decades on free online play for its games AND the games tend to cost less. It is merely another way greedy corps are fucking us.

While the rest of you all have your lubed up asses, I'm sticking with Nintendo and its policy of hugs and high-fives.

So to 3rd parties (that don't put quality on Nintendo hardware) and MSony, I say rot in hell.

Their greatness is opinion nothing more, i for one see then as a good dev not great.  They dont make the type of games i want and other then one or two gems a gen if im lucky thus to me and much of gamers they are nothign special.  Im playing fundementally the same Mario on U i played decades ago.  I fail to see any greatness in rehashing same things over and over.

Um wiis hardware was barely an upgraded selling at a permium was not as you said  "fucking the consumer and robbing us blind"  Everythign about the wii was short term gains, it didnt even last a full gen like its competitior did.   Its  game play mechanincs did not transfer to its succesor console.  It was  half gen money grab.

If 50 is to much for you for a year and dozens of free games then nothing will change your mind, unless Ninty does it tommorow then youll champion it.

Given how wiiu is one of the worse consoles in gaming, id say your lubed up good championing nintendo. 

Cant put same quality on hardware a gen older then its comp, its just not feasable.  It be liek me crying toyota didnt put a race spec V8 liek they did their Lmans car.  You chose old outdated hardware, you live with its shortcoming without crying wolf.

You don't get value proposition do you?

Honda's keep their value FAR better than any other. Yet you wouldn't say they are anti-consumer.

Fact is Nintendo builds teh best game content that over time is STILL WORTH THE ORIGINAL PRICE to consumers.

3rd parties simply don't make that type of game. If they did, then they would keep the price up as well. A company drops price when it feels the value is not longer there and consumer purchasing proves that.

This is why Wii U is selling like crap as the mass consumer doesn't see the value in it at $300 because the mostly see "wii" and that's a $100 hardware. But Zelda Twilight Princess was still $50 (full price) five years after it released because Zelda games retain high value.
