Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Official Titanfall Review Thread: Metacritic 86

The game drops to single digit FPS in some parts, which is crazy for a game that runs 792p on a old source engine????

All reviews are saying the same thing for now (the ones I read)...

+ Good and fun gameplay
- Tearing, framedrops and aliasing

Some are saying the framerate drops to single-digit.

Some one is reading the NeoGaf thread other than the reviews...

I guess they are forced to go with something high than 720p due the bad press created by resolutiongate... I think 720p was a better option to holds the solid 60fps.

Reviews... I read most of them... I do that with games.

The GiantBomb one says the framerate drops to single-digit... the other says bad framerate and AA issues too... you can check if you want.

Some people will be disappointed by those reviews.

After what happen with Killzone, these reviews are amazing.

Doing great!

Best xbone metacritic, is it not?

If it ends between 85-90 it will be a success.

It will make happy for both major opinions about the game. A) The game is going to be fun and the best multiplayer shooter since the original Modern Warfare. B) It's not going to reinvent the wheel nor going to be a masterpiece.

Its receiving a lot of 9/10 right now. 9/10 for me is a game that fulfils what they want to achieve but have some aspects that could have been way better. In this case it seems graphics and game modes.

Very good beginning for a new IP for Respawn. But despite the game will sell a lot, the only loser here seems to be the Xbox One hardware because every review I read says the same thing, "the graphics are disappointing for a new gen system, low resolution and drops of framerate sometimes".

People are going to compare it to X360 and PC for different reasons. There will be a lot of ,,,"this game looks bad because it was made primarly for Xbox One, it could have looked way better if it was in PS4", "Titanfall 2 on PS4 will look better", "I won't spent 500 bucks for a new console when i can play it on PC or X360, I'll wait for Titanfall 2 on ps4", etc etc etc....

In my opinion, i don't really care so much about graphics. If the game is fun, is what really matters. The problem is to convince people to buy a Xbox One for 500$ just for Titanfall when you already are losing almost 2:1 WW right now....

Not quite, Fifa 14 is the only one ahead, but that is only at 89 so there is one point in it.

Did EA allowed benchmarck capture cards when they played the games in the closed review event?

Please, post other article that talk about severe performance issues.
