Interesting how the biased people to Microsoft's views have changed (He's still biased but at least he admitted it).

Pachter stated that the Kinects fad is over. Now that Don Mattrick is gone the Kinect will most likely be unbundled. Because of the new head of Microsoft's videogame division we'll probably see that being the cut in price for the Xbox One and that we'll see two models coming out. The reason it was force bundled was most likely because of Don Mattrick. I guess I know who to thank for not getting the Xbox One first so early. I'll get it when they drop the Kinect. They haven't proven the value of the box and even Pachter is admitting it now.

I think Kinect games were mostly shovelware and MS spent too much time on Kinect instead of keeping up with core AAA games. It is not catering to core gamers, and should be optional.

The Kinect effect:

I think they screwed it. The original kinect came with the killer apps (Kinect Adventures, Sports). The new one is a improvement, but they didn't released the killer game to prove it. How did they think it would be a good idea to bundle it but don't release one of these games? MS isn't thinking reasonably this gen.

MS will have a "weaker" console with no special feature to set apart its competitors... don´t think so. It´s the same thing as pushing Sony to dish the PS3 BluRay drive back in 2007, when they were in a much,much direr situation as Microsoft know (and no games until 2009).

PS: He´s been talking about PS360 price cuts for the last 4 years. Microsoft and Sony won´t go to a mutual destroctive price war.

PS2: People insist to forget XOne is yet to release in 50+ countries and is 25% more expensive than the PS4, thinking it would outsell it that easely was ludiocracy.

Ok. If next year we'll have a X1 model for 300-350 USD (500-100 (Kinect)-(50-100 pricecut)) - it maybe a interesting thing to buy (if Halo 5 will arise around that time too).

If they just scrapped Kinect right now they would have to sell it for 400$ to not take much of a loss

I think it hugely depends on titanfall... if it fails to move x1 units, then after e3 but if it moves enough than 2015 or holiday 2014
