Wasn't Batman announced last week or so?
Preorders must be 1000 vs 250 then. Is it even up for Preorders yet?

They said you could preorder it right after the trailer. Preordering it lets you play with Harley Quinn.

Well it's a yes but response to the TF has helped to sell 1 million to date.

[insert semi-exclusive game that will be marketed as if exclusive here] announced at launch and it will help with sales from the day of announcement. The question is whether TF specifically drove sales over and above any other semi-exclusive game would have? Probably yes, but not 1 million. I'm sure inFamous has helped move PS4's since it was announced.

Knack helped sell 6 million PS4s, true story.

I think MS isn't making out so hot with their Titanfall deal. They not only had to pay for full exclusivity, but also the ability to give it away for free in a limited edition bundle. This cuts into any profits they would have made on SW. Now, either that bundle is not so limited, or it really isn't selling that great, as it's still available everywhere. I'm going to go with the latter (the article and Amazon charts illustrate this), which means they won't be making much on extra controllers and SW from extra HW sales. EA made out like a bandit, though.

TitanFall just keeps on seeming like MS's last hope until e3... Relying this much on one game is really risky...

I dont get why people keep saying its MS's last hope. We have other big name games (such as Halo) coming in a year or two. Other unrevealed titles too supposedly. Also the very real possibility of a price cut if things get too bad. They really have a lot of options so saying its their last hope is a bit silly.

Because it is there last hope. Halo 5 isn't going to come till late next year (if rumors are true) and Gears is 2016. That's too late (see Wii U). MS needs to turn things around now, other wise by the time that Halo 5 is out, the PS4 will millions ahead (much more than it already is).

I dont necessarily know if that is true - after all the ps3 really got started with their best exclusives in 2008 with MGS. And of course we know how well the ps3 did after the 2009 price cut and the intro of the slim.

But even if it is true, MS can still drop the price of the console and I suspect they will do exactly that at E3 2014 if Titanfall does not increase their sales hugely. I dont really think they will win this gen's "console war" by doing any of the above options (I personally think the ps4 will win comfortably) but that doesnt mean MS doesnt have options to claw back some of the sales.

The PS4"3 has more global brand power. That is the issue with the X1, it's too American centric

I don't care how many systems it sells. As long as I can play it.

This. Seems like every sales thread and thread with Titanfall in the title have people talking about how Xbone people supposedly are just desperately hoping the game pushes hardware. I already have my Xbone and will have Titanfall, why do I care about how much money it makes MS? All we give a F about is getting our hands on this amazing game.

Ah interesting, so Titanfall has already helped the console sell that much. I can believe it. Some colleagues who got XB1 at launch said it was in anticipation of Titanfall.

Oh man, did they get pissed when MS started giving Titanfall for free?

Wasn't the voice of most of the Xbox fans on this site the opposite of what is bolded? Playstation fans used to give this excuse. Funny how arguments switch sides.

Well a bit, but $60 is not that much to these guys and they played the s*it out of Killer Instinct during this time.
