Forums - Gaming Discussion - New Batman’s Pre-Orders PS4 vs Xbox One Are 4 to 1; Titanfall Helped Sell a Million Xbox One Units – Insider

Even though COD is available on both PC and consoles, they always sell a huge load of consoles compared to PC. If Titanfall is big enough, it'll do the same. However, the fact that the game is available on both X1 and 360 will definitely interfere with selling more X1 units.

Ah interesting, so Titanfall has already helped the console sell that much. I can believe it. Some colleagues who got XB1 at launch said it was in anticipation of Titanfall.

My 8th gen collection

The reason I think the Titanfall bundle is selling lower than Microsoft's expectation is because they over estimated a new IP. I mean how many units do you expect for it to push when there is a PC and xbox 360 version?

I know I sound like a broken record but Microsoft had you not been stubborn and released a $400 Kinect-less titanfall bundle you would have at least 3ds numbers.

Are they talking about selling one million X1 Titanfall bundles, or X1 units in general?

I don't care how many systems it sells. As long as I can play it.

Why are you here then :v

Why are you?

If you just care about the game as long as you can play it, you wouldn't be on a sales site, so you are lying. I'm here because I care for console sales, is that simple.

Too early for a system seller at the moment. These new gen systems are not churning out the top level games at this point that would warrant a large number of people to get into the mix. TitanFall will sell well, but it lacks SP and that is a big problem in my opinion.

System sellers normally have a SP campaign and a robust MP, but TitanFall is limited in this regard. The game looks great and I'm sure it will be great fun to play, but no SP really hurts it IMHO.

Feel free to belive what you want but I dont care about game or console sales. Stuff like that is for kids. Been gaming before there was even such thing as the internet. I am here for latest info on anything video game related. I have Titanfall preorderd and preloaded and not once did how many consoles will it sale have anything to do with my descision on buying the game.

thats wat im thinking cuz X1 hasn't sold a million in the past month! My question is how do they kno? Was every X1 owner participating in a survey and ask did they buy one for Titanfall? lol!

I just want to kno exactly wat they mean instead of being misunderstanding :0

Titanfall isn't going to boost sales much. If Sony has enough PS4s, it'll be the top console in March, and I'd wage that WW, inFamous will outsell the X1 Version of Titanfall.

MS has put all their eggs on this basket and it's simply not going to work. People seriously need to get back down to earth and fix their expectations because it's bordering on absurd.

I can't wait till the 11th, not just because I get to play Titanfall (without having to spend a single cent on X1), but also because it'll finally be the day we start moving on from this game. It'll be even more interesting to see what exactly MS does after it's out and they can't ride the Titanfall hype train anymore.

They should have used March to fully relaucn the X1, drop Kinect, release a $399 Titanfall bundle. Now that would have been something. If they don't drop the price by this year, they're done.
