New Batman’s Pre-Orders PS4 vs Xbox One Are 4 to 1; Titanfall Helped Sell a Million Xbox One Units – Insider

by (1 hour ago) 13

Looks like the Batman fans are leaning more towards the PS4 version of the new Batman: Arkham Knight than towards the Xbox One version, as mentioned today on NeoGAF by insider Pete “FamousMortimer” Dodd, that has a very good track record with the information provided by his sources:

I was told last night by a guy at MS that Batman is being preordered, in the US, to the tune of 4 to 1 in favor of the PS4 currently.

Dodd also gave some information on how many Xbox One units Titanfall is helping move:

Marketing guys project that Titanfall has already helped sell around 1 million Xbox Ones. This is based off of things like upticks in sales after every major Titanfall announcements. They don’t know if it will move 200k more at this point. The titanfall bundle is selling less than Microsoft projected (but they are still hopeful for a big swing come tuesday).

While Dodd’s information is normally spot-on, as usual we should take it with a grain of salt. That said, considering the current situation, the picture he paints is definitely believable, both for Batman: Arkham Knight and Titanfall.

TitanFall just keeps on seeming like MS's last hope until e3... Relying this much on one game is really risky...

I hope for the Xbox One's sake that Titanfall does sell well, but I still don't believe it will be as big of a system seller and people believe. Halo 5 will be the real system seller and that seems to be coming in 2015.

I don't care how many systems it sells. As long as I can play it.

I don't particularly trust him, he's made a number of mistakes before, some of them pretty major.

Well yes..thats how MS does business. They dont bring anything proper to the dance until someone does it for them. When they bring in their own games its always to top four titles (You know what they are).
