I went to see Robocop yesterday (not a bad remake it turns out), and a trailer for NFS the movie played. It looked pretty bad and something that won't stack up at all with the Fast and Furious movies.

So who's heard about this? And who's definitely going to go see it?

I'm definitely not going to go see this as The Fast and The Furious movies bother me enough. A knock-off? Eugh... I'll be interested to see if it gets a Fresh rating, however much I doubt it will.

Seriously though, Robocop? I'm not sure what to think of it just yet.

What did you think of the original Robocop? I never watched the original Robocop at the movies. I thought it sounded really dumb and cheesey. But then when I went to university my girlfriend at the time said it was one of her favourites, and I thought that was not possible if the movie was a load of cheesy crap. So I watched it on VHS (yes that long ago) and of course my girlfriend was right.

I wasn't going to see this remake either, but my family decided they wanted to go and I tagged along. original was better in my estimation, but the remake was good enough. Though perhaps not quite good enough to actually justify a remake. I don't think it will do well enough to warrant any sequels.

I went so hard on nfs carbon. I have to see that movie! Probably not in the theaters though.

I don't think I've ever actually seen the original. However, I've had the same thoughts about this remake as you did with the original. I think it looks quite cheesy.

The first time the trailer came on, I thought it was one of those awful spoof movies, but then there was that awkward moment when I realized it wasn't a joke. Then I slowly shook my head in disappointment..

Saw the trailer. Looked incredibly stupid. Can't count how many times a car flipped through the air. Story (if existing) was totally neglected in the trailer as well.

Not quite sure how that happened, especially given one of the reviews only gave the movie 2/5. That's a fail in my books.
