Forums - Sales Discussion - XBone outsells PS4 in both USA and UK

Sony's lack of supply + X1 price cut in UK and Titanfall.

If Sony can't get their supply situation straitened out, the X1 will sell more in March. If there's enough PS4s though, there's no chance for the X1. It's all up to what Sony does.

any do you remember how well the 360 did in japan, right?

Yes. But PS4 quadrupled PS3 sales in Japan at launch so I don't see why One couldn't do it, too.

Except for the fact that the second Xbox console did significantly worse than the first.  Why wouldn't this trend continue?  There's no reason to think that it wouldn't.  The company's philosophies haven't changed, and they've done nothing more to appeal to Japanese gamers.  Plus it's their most expensive system ever.  Everything is working against it in the Far East.

It's also worth nothing that Playstation is a known brand there.  As well as the fact that Sony is a Japanese company.  Aside from PS3, every console has sold well there.  And just because PS sells well in Japan, it has no bearing on whether an American company (with a proven track record of failure there) would be successful as well.

All the bundled versions will be in stock much earlier... pretty obvious what is going on here.

I dont blame them, I would do the same.

Do you mean inFamous or the bundles in general? Sony haven't really been the ones shoving bundles down people's throats, that's been the retailers. Personally, I bought a Sony made bundle on launch because it actually offered good value. Anyway, most of the bundles have been only 1 game, which is fairly inoffensive, especially when a few different ones are offered

What annoys me is when you're forced to buy about 3 games and some rubbish accesories etc AND don't get any decent discount

The Beauty is that this doesn't even include all the pre-orders for Titanfall bundles in USA and the UK. For the next 3 weeks minimum I expect XB1 to dominate both regions.

Hahaha... no. Sorry, no chance. Europe is long gone for X1. Titanfall wont change that. The only thing that can change it is a price cut that sets it cheaper than the PS4.

Stop daydreaming that the X1 has any chance in europe. It doesnt. The quicker you convince yourself of that, the quicker you can come to terms with it. X1 is a US only system.

Do people live in some self contained world where what's happening now means it's happened all the time? Yes, there's stock right now, but that hasn't been the case for the last few weeks.

I'm also pretty sure you cna't get them on the UK Amazon yet.
