If losing its biggest market is to be competitive then I don't know what is to be competitive... Xbone is just racing right now like some guys do just to participate in a race... like Wii U.

And I can bet with you Xbone won't outsell Wii U this year.

I bet with you. I´m tired of losing good oportunities like the 3 to 1 ratio, the 1mi week one in Japan, or the 3mi/500k gap this March.

The Xone will pass the Wii U no later than Octuber 2014.

Give us what you are willing to bet.

If I lost I will buy a Xbone for me and if you lost you will buy a PS4 for you.

That way you will see the difference between the two machines and stop the fud

2 million gap in a year... it will be fun to win.

Done, I would buy at the Brazilian price tag.

I think dropping Kinect and putting a game like Titanfall in the box at 400$ would help a good bit. The issue is if Sony puts a game like Killzone in the box it will destroy the One again.

I believe it already IS competitive.

Considering it still isn't out in several European countries, and that they aren't counting on it selling AT ALL in Japan, it's doing pretty good.

It's on track to outpace the Wii U by Christmas, and on track to earn a lot of money in the US with the services it is offering.

I see very little reason why Microsoft would take an extra 100-200 dollar hit on each unit sold at this point.

The countries it is not officially out in are 99% irrelevant. But I do agree with you that the One is doing pretty well

Initial price point misshaps are hard to come back from. We have seen this with 3DS, Wii U, and even PS3 I believe.

It will take games to do the trick, not pricing.

The 3DS and PS3 pricecuts were both accompanied with significant software.

3DS had the cut in the Summer which was followed by Ocarina 3D and a Holiday hit of Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.

PS3 had a pricecut and slim combo to go along with Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, FFXIII in Japan, Assassin's Creed 2 and Batman Arkham Asylum.

Games can only do so much for a platform that is overpriced.

Just to share a case for you guys...

I waited to buy my PS3 until it reaches $299 and the PS4 I got at day one... what that means? Price matter... even more than games... even to fanboys like me.

If the PS4 was $599 like PS3 then I shouldn't have one today.

Price does matter but waiting for console prices to drop is not very smart in my opinion. To save 300$ you waited nearly 3 years. So you saved less than 10$ a month to not be in on the latest. No way in heck I would wait over such a tiny amount of money.

I didn't have the money to pay $600... it seems like twice the price and it is in US... the difference to import a console of $300 to $600 in Brazil is mounstruos... the tax over $600 is something unbelievable.

If we are crying with the $399 = R$4000 conversion here with PS4... a $600 machine could costs over R$8000 easily.

It dropped the price but I just could buy one with the Slim launch.

Ah, did not know you were from Brazil. I can not say I blame you, I would have bought a gaming PC to hold me off for a while lol. Aren't Xbox products cheaper in Brazil due to the taxes?

Yeap... Xbone is mounted here so the official price is R$2200 but the retail is selling it from R$1800-$2000... it is close to half the price of PS4.

I don't remember when they changed the law to the PC components tax be lower than 25%... that make the PC somekind "cheaper" (I don't know if I can call it cheaper because it is expensive to a lot of people yet) but before that it was taxed like consoles today in over 60%.

My last PC was a Pentium III to play Diablo, WarCraft and StartCraft (I had a GeForce 256)... I only worked with better gaming machines for benchmark jobs but it was not mine and I needed to make tests with especific games... after that I moved to notebooks and you know the notebooks are crap to gaming.

How are games priced? Just curious

How about Physical VS Digital?

For half off I would probably go with the Xbox One to be honest. lol.
