I think it's the way to go.. more value..

The N+ thing, would be good.. (a service like ps+.. mayby free in 2014)

Or/and a VC Channel.. new games every month.. or just some free downloads

They also had to launch more channels.. make a super Nintendo tv in europe.. let us play avi/mp4 that way to.. and where is pokerstars :)

I would also like to see a hardcore bundle.. upad and procontroller

But most of all.. they need to make the "hardware" more value.. i would like to see a new wii-u at e3.. a "tighter" design like ds - lite.. both the wii-u console and the upad (good time to show the hardcore bundle to)

A Nintendo VC App/Channel sounds like a great idea. They can have a featured free title once a month for members, digital Nintendo soundtracks on sale, and a seamless connection with Club Nintendo Points and offers.

Yes.. and now that i think of it.. They could also do some revard thing.. like when you complete MK8 (3 stars every course) u get MK snes.. (better than just include it.. we like to be revarded :)

A reward system like that would be awesome! Hopefully hackers can be kept from getting it.

A bundle with SM3DW and MK8 would be great!

Hate the MK hackers  :)  i really hope it will be a long time where the "best" wins.. not some +40 bombs dropping XXXXX

Last thing in the VC channel "brainstomming"

The Wii-U VC-channel.. revard/club nintendo games should be "upad only" that way they differentiate from normal VC games.. and set the spotlite on upad

People didn't just HAVE to sign up. Most people didn't, in fact. I buy probably 100 games a year and I didn't even sign up until PS4 made it almost mandatory.

Hey man, I'm a student and I love to play games  but can't afford that much . Can you toss an X1 game code this this way so this poor student can cope w/ everyday stress?

I love how the original post was about bundles, and half the posts in the thread are a discussion about Nintendo doing their own version of PS+, when nothing of the sort was mentioned in the OP.

The megabundles sounds like a great idea to me. The trick is how. If they have a bunch of physical games, it'll take up a lot of space. Retailers might not want a huge box taking up lots of shelf space, so they might order less of the bundle. If they go digital, there's the issue of space. I think they should make a version of the Wii U with extra space, but all the extra space is taken up by digital versions of Wii games, games that have never been digital before and aren't available digitally anywhere. They'd all be installed on the system, and still leave the same amount of extra space as the original Wii U had after the included software. So essentially, VC Wii games. Since they aren't gonna sell much physically anyway at this point, it won't hurt sales much. As long as there's still the same amount of free space, there's no lost value there. There's added value in that the games aren't available digitally anywhere, and it doesn't stop them from releasing them digitally next generation. Furthermore, it would be an opportunity to patch games with multiplayer online to work with the Nintendo Network, and hopefully next gen it'll transfer over to the next system easily, giving the games more value than ever since the online portions will last longer.

Wii U Megabundle: Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Zelda Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3 (save Trilogy for an HD remake), Other M (why not, it's certainly not going to sell copies otherwise), NSMB Wii, Mario Sports Mix, Mario Party 8, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Punch-Out!!, and to top it off, a Nintendo published game never before released outside of Japan, Zangeki no Reginleiv. Basically a game about Ragnarok of Norse mythology, it's a hack and slash game that uses the Wii Motion Plus to allow you to target specific body parts to cut off. Supports 4-player online co-op. Very bloody. Would probably do better in the west than it did in Japan, and would benefit from the Wii U's better processing, as the original had moments of slowdown in areas with too many enemies.

Bundle comes with these 20 games preinstalled, a WiiMotionPlus and a Nunchuck, and the Gamepad, sells for $300.

Smaller, $250 bundles could be released without the Nunchuck, and with a smaller, more targeted selection of 10 games. One would have the Mario games, the Kirby games, and DKCR. The other would have everything else. One is for younger audiences, the other for older audiences. Anyone even slightly Nintendo curious would have to be stupid not to get one of the three bundles.

it won't magically move hardware. A lot of people still prefer physical games. So even freebies as digital wouldn't entice that many.

However it doesn't cost them anything so worth a shot. May prove me wrong.

If the games are preloaded on the HDD and the box is full of pictures saying 10+ free games then I think it would have an impact.

Preloaded probably would work but he mentioned PS+ where you signup and download the free games. Although not sure if old virtual console games alone would be enough.

You've misunderstood his reference to PS+

The OP was originally about a PS+ like service being offered by Nintendo. It was later edited along with the title. That is why so many posts are about the other topic.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Oh. Well what the heck then. He might as well have made two completely different threads! Ah well, my bad I guess, came in too late.

Not gonna happen, it's not in Nintendo DNA to provide services like PS Plus considering first parties titles stay at full price for a long time

It wasn't in Sony's DNA... until they did it.

This is a great suggestion. Nintendo is absolutely foolish to not be capitalizing on their back catalog more. This is another one of the great things they did with Wii that they failed to do with Wii U. People forget so quickly that at the start of gen 7 Nintendo was at the forefront of online features with the Virtual Console. Being able to play all of those classic titles was amazing, and I bet it made Nintendo a tonne of money and sold a lot of systems to people who hadn't owned a Nintendo in a while.

Nintendo should offer either an amazing bundle loaded with classic titles or start a PS+ like service that gives you free titles. It could move systems or at least make them lots of money.

As an aside, I picked up a 360 when I saw a deal offering 10 games in a bundle. They weren't all good games, but it was awesome to get so many titles... it was like a party. Such offers can put a wavering consumer over the edge.
