Metroidvania the game.

I can confirm that Retro Studios is working on a new Metroid for the Nintendo Wii U!!! Reggie had a Metroid Pin during the VGX presentation of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze with an Retro Studios employe, this was a hint about what Retro Studios are working on right now!!! It´s that easy!!! Believe me or not, but i am right and think about me when you see a first teaser of Metroid at the E3 2014 ;)

I wouldn't mind a new Metroid in the style of Prime, but all I'm hoping for Retro is that it is allowed to do whatever it wants. Those guys have earned that right.

My dream scenario would be:

Retro does a Metroid Prime 4 and original game in the Wii U's lifetime.

Nintendo collabs with WB games to have the studio that did the first two Batman Arkham games make a Metroid game in that style, and with a story that pleases the fanbase,

The team that did the latest kid Icarus make a new Star Fox.

I think it's going be Dixie Kong City: Arctic Heat.

Better be a new IP. Retro really needs to be pushed and tested. I liked some of their original game ideas going back to when the GameCube was first announce, but since then it's been Metroid and DK.

I'd like all of those, but I want a new IP from them above all else. They've only ever worked with preexisting concepts - I want to see what they can do left to their own devices.

I hope its a new ip. I wish its a military fps with a good campaign and multiplayer modes like CoD and environment like BF4 and weapons and vehicles like Halo. That will cause an Internet explosion and cause 20 percent of gamers to buy a Wii U just for that game.

Needs to be a new IP. Nintendo lost Rare well over a decade ago, and they still have not managed to fill in the gap left behind. Retro needs to be given a chance to shine on their own and expand their(and Nintendo's) horizons. Rare was essential because they provided a style of gameplay and presentation wholely different from what Nintendo themselves were offering. Without them Ninty is a shadow of their former selves, and they'll never be able to support a system all on their own.

If Retro Studios alone proves incapable of filling in Rare's shoes, then Nintendo needs to start investing in other studios who can. As it is, there remains a gaping hole in Nintendo's lineup that's still waiting to be filled.

I'm thinking it's a new mainline Legend of Zelda. That on top of the next Zelda game Nintendo themselves are developing. Nintendo Zelda: 2015. Retro Zelda: 2016.
