Why would I not buy it?
I enjoyed GOW1 and 2 and like 3 and Ascension. Not as well but at least they stuck to the winning formular and didn't feel the need to change anything for changes sake.
New IP is nice but I still want to see past games I like on a new console.

Also I'm not really someone who doesn't buy something because of unrelated issues.
Even if EA started a side business to kill baby seals and dolphins and made toddlers watch the massacre no one would ever keep me from picking up ME2 and DA3.

Damn, I can just imagine Peter Moore's twitter account in that situation.  lol

I never played God Of War, but if the game is really different and blow my mind, maybe

Firstly it's unbelievably stupid to decide not to buy a game before you've seen anything of it just based on its name, hell it hasn't even been announced. 

Secondly the new IP was cancelled for a reason, it wasn't looking promising.  It's nothing to do with GoW, anyone who's boycotting GoW4 just because it's still inevitably happening and a new IP got cancelled is moronic.

If GoW4 is being directed by Cory Barlog and is confirmed to not have multiplayer it's a day 1 buy. If not, depending on reviews, I'll probably hold off and buy it at a bargain bin price, wouldn't be close minded enough to straight up say I won't ever buy it.

I won't, I ignored Ascension and I don't see any reasons why GoW4 would be any different. I don't see myself being brainwhashed by pretty graphics into thinking otherwise. But I there's a chance I'd rent it.

Hard to say. I feel like the story has been told at this point and would prefer a spiritual successor. That said, with PS4 powering it hard to imagine what SSM could pull off.

I loved ascension, but I wouldn't buy it. That studio needs to do something else.

I would buy either because I've not been wowed by a GoW game (even the PSP were great for portable ones). However I would be more happy with a subtitle game like Infamous and Killzone did to not scare away new players. I want them to make God of Norse with a new character beating up the gods that fit best with that game. Imagining GoW on Ps4 especially an epic fight through the sky with Thor just makes me drool.
