Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Titanfall is everything that Killzone was not... Gameplay > Graphic...

There is only one reason a thread like this is created..

Like I said.. Xbox fans over hyping titan fall to the level of halo.. Microsoft is doing it too

mM

I can't wait to try out the single player.

I'm sorry but what exactly does Titanfall do to "innovate" the common day FPS? It's COD with Jetpacks... not saying it wont be a blast to play for ppl, but your argument is kinda lame.

Personally, I prefer a better single player than multiplayer. I'd pick up Infamous over Titanfall

Theres only 1 problem with this thread....titanfall isnt innovative.
mechs/exoskeletons and parkour have been done before in fps'

This game it's brink meets kz3 but with worse ai than brink... I'll stick to killing dumb bots in dynasty warrior type games at least then I know I'm just killing bots and not pretending that I'm good at mp in an fps

Playing Call of Duty with robot skins is innovative how exactly?

Ill wait for Monolith to provide my mech fix.

Ill leave Titanfall where it belongs, to the "sheeit looks mad tyte bro" Axe body spray and 22" rims crowd.

Right because the WiiU is crawling with top rated FPS experience.

An unnecessary comparison. Killzone has been about one thing only, flashy graphics. Its gameplay is about as interesting as turning a door knob.

A better comparison is to say Titanfall with deliver where CODG and BF4 failed.

Pretty fun door knob.

So guys...what happens if nobody cares? What happens if after the initial big sales the game dies because it doesn't live up to the hype? It happens all the time. For every super hyped up game that comes out and lives up to it's hype there are at least a couple that fail and fall into obscurity. Some of them even sell well but mostly just disappoint the people who buy it.

Duke Nukem Forever
Crysis 2
Call of Juerez: the Cartel
Enter the Matrix
Dead island
Medal of Honor (2010)
Fable 3
Homefront
Red Steel
Crysis 3
Halo: ODST
Beyond: two souls
Thief

Video game history is littered with games that were hyped beyond belief to only be quickly forgotten (or remembered as some kind of joke) because they failed to deliver.

I'm not saying that TitanFall is doomed to fail or that it's overhyped, I'm just saying it might be a good idea to learn from out past mistakes and maybe wait until people have more than a couple of hours on a beta to go on before we declare it the second coming.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

So how many hours have you spent on SF? 20-30? 15-20? 10-15? 5?
