Who said best? I certainly did not, I said merely better for visuals.
Why is it better than those indie games though? As I have said, other games have done far better in other catagories and frankly, DKC could have come out 7 years ago. The fact that it has just come out is laughable. It brings nothing new to the table on top of being late to the party. For that I would instantly cap it at a 5/10.
I heard this game is 7 and a half hours long... Thats kinda short tho >.>

It's better than Braid and Limbo because those games are more puzzle games than platformer. Once you know the puzzles, they have zero replayability.
Next question.

It couldve came out 7 years ago as most games could have.

Many critics avoid a review score because people often ignore what's been said/written and focus entirely on the score, plus scores are meaningless now. People complain when games get the "insultingly low" rating of 8/10, and I've literally seen reviews where someone spends five minutes complaining about a game only to give it an 8.6/10 or something equally stupid. Review scores are largely useless now. |
Well, the thing is, he didn't avoid a score - he just didn't say it; he wrote it, even though it's a video review. And while I don't think a score is necessary, I don think that the reviewer should sum up the actual review in some way or another... Maybe something like "DKCTF gets 5+ and 3-" - or something. 4 stars out of 5 maybe? just... something
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
