Forums - Movies & TV - My oddest movie viewing ever....

I went to see monument men the other night and had the worst experience. Some guy was making very weird grunting noises through the whole movie. Kinda of like he was agreeing in grunts every 30-60 seconds. Essentially saying Uh huh, Uhhhhhh but almost sexual.  I was confused on what to do. At first I thought someone was getting a blowjob or some shit, Then realized the guy was completely alone when getting up to get popcorn. I was pissed. I tried to get my Lady to move but she didn't listen, I couldn't even pay attention to the movie. I was going to say something, then thought, what if he has a gun and is trying to piss someone off. it was hopeless. What a mess.

What would you do in this situation? Rereading this I bet some are laughing their a-- off. Which it is funny when you explain it like that. However this has got to be the wierdest experience I have ever had. Seemed like when the movie got louder, so did he. Not sure if it was a involuntary reaction, the guy was old but WTF! Not trying to be mean but if you got tourette syndrome, Maybe the movie theater is not a place for you.

Tell me your worst Movie experience.

Worst cinema experience would have to be Mamma Mia.

Also, the guy might have had tourettes?

Gigli

a girl in her teens couldn't stop moaning all sexual in a family movie she was just alone and an attention whore, everyone ignored her so she just left.

I went to the movie theater once with my friends in metrotown vancouver but we were running late and by the time we got there, it was too late and all the good seats were taken so instead we quickly checked rotten tomatoes for an highly rated movie and we saw one that had 86% likes so we go in there, get popcorn and etc and the movie starts, and guess what? It was a Spanish movie... And we didn't know any Spanish and no other movies were going to start for another hours, yayy...............

But yea, it would either have to be that or when we went to Hunger Games too late and had to sit on the front left of the movie theater

Not sure, it may have been a problem had with the air quality in the theater (some people are more sensitive to these things...)

But as someone who physically closed a cell phone in the hands of some guy who was texting during a movie a while ago, I am not that tolerant thoward people who are disturbing the movie going experience... However, in some cases you have no choice to try to understand

My Dad's friend has tourettes, and he just goes "HM" every once in a while. If you hang around him for a while you don't even notice it. The way you describe this guy doesn't sound like tourettes (especially if he is getting louder when the movie is getting louder as well), it just sounds like he had a weird personality and had to confirm everything he was seeing with his own audio cues.

As for what I would have done; if I was with a girl that didn't mind it I probably would have just tried to zone it out and pay attention to the movie.

Luckily for you though Monument Men has been getting low reviews so you might not have missed out on much haha, I still wanna see it though because of the great cast it has.

LITTLE MAC

Watched "The boy in the stripped Pajamas" in the Cinema here which was directly next to a screening of HellBoy2.... also our cinema is fucking terrible so you get sound bleeding from 1 screen to the next during loud scenes so yeah... that Scene with the mother just swinging under the tree after her child has gone missing into the concentration camp pure silence, Could hear Ron Pearlman screaming at the top of his voice followed by a huge explosion from next door, was kinda funny... but ruined the whole movie having Hell boy audio in that.
