This would probably require ps4 getting 60%+ of the sales on black Friday and I doubt they will get 40%. Nintendo is going to sell insane on black Friday I predict.

Yeah but it won't be for long. PS has much more to worry about that marketshare. It's just a number. Looks in this case are very deceiving. It's sad but true.

He can't give you a viable reason because there is not one.  the PS4 will get all the multiplats, better versions of them and their slate of games that will moves systems.  So he has to put up the false front of Sony's financial state to downplay the upcoming achievement.

You're mixing financials with marketshare, I'm afraid. Doesn't work like that. To reach 50% marketshare is strictly about sales. In that regard, unless the most catastrophic drop in gaming history is to occur, I don't think the PS4 has anything to worry about.

OT: 50% is a given, now. The question is when? It could be by Christmas, but definitely no later than Q1 2015.

I think by Jan the 1st PS4 will have the 50% Market Share.  If it's not 1st of Jan, it will be for sure March 2015, and more than 50%.

Oh, I know. Just trying to help him out here.

So what? The point is Sony is still in trouble no matter what way you slice it. Finding comfort in negating isn't really helpful. Sales mean nothing if there is no profit. They can coorelate but that isn't happening here.
