I own all three of the games you mentioned and wouldnt call myself a brainless gamer. I love playing Zelda and Nina Gaiden but what would us "Brain-dead gamers" do if we actually wanted to play with another human being?? And better yet what would be do if we wanted to play a game with our girlfriend/wife/parent/child??

My wife loves playing mario party type games. She never played games before that ever. Now its even lead to her playing games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Guitar Hero, Goldeneye, Hotel Dusk, Fire Emblem etc.

 As for my least favorite genre, it would probably have to be Sports games. Unless they are completely unrealistic. I dont enjoy playing sports games that try to simulate an experience that i dont even enjoy in reality.

FPS by far for me.

Probably sports, unless they are unique, ie. Mario sports, SSX.

Also RTS, suck at micromanagement.

Realistic sports games are my least favorite, but I could play NBA Street or Outlaw Golf all day. They don't take themselves too seriously.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I don't really like RPG's either. I will admit that I've never played a Final Fantasy game, but some of the other RPG's that I've played (like Kingdom Hearts) just don't interest me too much.

In the nineties I strolled around in some FPS PC games like Doom & Unreal on god mode (I didn't mind the enemies, I was just interested in 3D graphics sightseeing).

I only played one fighting game for some hours (Dead or Alive 3) and I couldn't handle it at all. But the girls looked gorgeous.

Fighting games. But I dislike more than those, like fighting games. There's also another genre I hate, but the name escapes me... I think they're called "fighting games".
