the video comparsion i posted is a million times better, the youtube video is only 720p, not the games.

so we saw what many thought was the best looking game on GC run on ps2, and on ps2 it still looks amazing, not as good as GC version but close enough, now look at what spliner cell choase theory and double agent look like on ps2/GC, there not even the same game

here is what ign said

"Seeing Chaos Theory in action on a PC or Xbox will certainly bring tears to your eyes. If you're an avid PC gamer, chances are you've seen prettier titles on your rig; however Xbox gamers are treated to some of the most astounding visuals ever pulled off on Microsoft's little-black-box-that-could. These environments and character models shouldn't be possible on current console hardware, but here they are, and running at an impressive framerate to boot.
The GameCube and PS2 versions are a different story however. No bump-mapping, no normal-mapping, inferior lighting, less world objects and detail, less complicated geometry…in other words, the game is barely recognizable. A picture is worth a thousand words…"

now remember xbox almost always ran ps2 ports better with out effort, so it would run the ps2 version of resident evil 4 in its sleep and make it look better cause thats just powerful the xbox was, any arguing clearly has no idea of what there talking about, the xbox was far ahead of its time.

then he is is telling some lies there sause gamecube can do bump mapping, multi texturing and other things, that has been proen on games and the lighting effects on gamcube like zelda twilight really look impressive

GameCubicle got hands-on with Star Fox Adventures at E3 and can say with complete confidence that screen captures cannot come close to doing justice to the pure graphical brilliance of this game. The reflective and reactive water surfaces are among the most beautiful we've ever seen. Well detailed levels, dynamic lighting effects, and numerous bump-mapped surfaces - not to mention blades of grass that sway in the wind - bring the SFA's environment to life in ways unseen in most other games. The title's controls are fluid and well laid out in a scheme reminiscent of Ocarina of Time. The bottom line on this one... Star Fox Adventures is one of the most stunningly beautiful and technologically impressive platformers ever made... for any console... ever.

dude you say xbox would choke on gamecube games, yet most people say resident evil 4 is the best looking GC and the best looking 6th gen game, yet the ps2 version almost looked as good and that game was tailord to GC strength, i remember everybody saying it would look like crap on ps2, and it came out looking amazing. here is a pic from ign so we know its not a source trying to make the game look worse then it is.

RE4 on PS2 had lower polygon counts, missing lighting effects, and lower resolution textures compared to the GC version, and it was not as tailored to GC as the Rogue Squadron games were. On a technical level, Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 >  RE4.

Like i said before this none sense there is no way to able to tell this, this is not a fact. anyway here is a good conmparison  video of resident evil 4 for ps2 and gamecube, yes the gamecube version looks better and ps2 has less branches and trees but its still looks great, its something you would see in a 360 vs ps3 comparisons, now when you compare splinter cell choase theory to the gamecube/ps2 you can see it looks like crap.

Because Splinter Cell plays to the strengths of Xbox's architecture. On the other hand, games like Rogue Squadron 2 & 3 on Gamecube and Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 and Jett Rocket on Wii play to the strengths of the TEV shader system those systems share, and would have to be cut down for Xbox.

I love how resident evil 4 gets discounted when its considered by most to be the best looking game of 6th, and one of the most technically impressiv gamese yet it doesn't play into GC strength, look the xbox had a more powerful gpu, more ram, and a better cpu, not mention  programmable shaders. the fact that it ran ps2 games better with effort just shows how powerful it was, unlike the GC which got many ports that were inferior to ps2.

RE4 is not discounted, its just not the most technically advanced GC game; Rogue Squadron 3 is.

How did you come to that conculsion, lets stick to the facts, both are completely different games, i find resident 4 to be the better looking game easily.

Because RS3 has more processor intensive effects; bumpmapping all over the place, light scattering, self-shadowing,volumetric fog, and all at 60fps while pushing 20 million polygons per second; more than the system was supposed to be capable of.

As great as RE4 looks, it has fewer and simpler effects.

I can't believe someone actually tried to imply RE4 for PS2 was near identical to the GC version. Leon's character model was 10k polys on GC it was 5k on PS2. The textures were worse on PS2. The PS2 version had minimal lighting effects. Some of the real time cutscenes on the GC version were converted to FMV on the PS2 etc. etc.
