Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Releasing Wii Sports Club Bundle in Japan

With Wii U hardware sales in Japan once again down to four-figure numbers in the weekly charts, Nintendo's preparing a fresh bundle to attract the region's consumers. This time around the offering, pictured above, will include the three Wii Sports Club eShop titles released so far, pre-installed; that's an interesting reversal of fortunes as the Wii's hugely successful pack-in Wii Sports wasn't bundled with the last-gen system in Japan.

They should have waited until they had baseball and boxing (or something new) ready too in my opinion.

WII U SAVED!

And on a 32GB white console, too. Neat. Though it's strange they only included the three games (tennis, bowling and golf) - weren't they planning on releasing all 5 sports of the original eventually? Would make sense to get those out and include them all in this bundle. Unless they don't plan on releasing the other two.

they'll probably release the other two when they're ready.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

The other bundle is 31,238 yen it looks like, so just slightly more expensive than this one. That one is a better bundle IMO ... you get NSMBU + Wii Party U + Wiimote + Joysound Karaoke.

Tennis/Bowling were the main sports most people cared about and golf is the one that actually uses the tablet pad for something ... so those are the three important ones ... baseball will probably be out around April (in time for the start of the baseball season). I think boxing was pretty much universally the least popular sport in Wii Sports.

Wait, couldn't one just dl each game and play it for free for a month? Is this bundle giving the whole sports game free with no future payments required?
