Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft on Xbox One: some things haven't worked, but we are learning

LOL about the power difference. "Titanfall plays smoothly online...." What's that got to do with resolution and power?

He's right about one thing, E3 will be huge. The first wave a PS4/XB1 multiplats (expecting to hear about Mass Effect and FallOut), info on PS4/XB1 exclusives, info on WiiU's 2nd wave of good exclusives, plus I'm expecting something big on the 3DS. E3 will be epic this year, but I'm least interested in another Halo or Forza for the XB1.

On the next gen power difference:

“Let’s be clear about this: Xbox One fully supports 1080p at 60 frames-per-second,” said Eagle. “Forza Motosport 5 is an example of a game that delivers on that. It’s up to individual developers to determine what is the best balance in order to deliver the best experience to gamers. No longer can you measure or talk about power in terms of pixels and polygon counts. Performance in this era comes from three areas: hardware, software and the cloud.

Yeah. Forza 5 supports 1080p 60fps. Reality is "crystal clear".

Yah because we all know other racing games have 3D models for the crowd, rihgt?... Like it would be any usefull... Get real for a second...

Even without the crowds the game is underrwhelming visually...downplaying doesn't change that. Only hurts his point. Compare that to Killzone in 1080p.......

Horrible game in 1080p, really I wished it was 720 with better gameplay.  Gameplay should never sacrifice for a better resolution/graphics..

A game can have both...With regards to ps4, x1 and multiplats the game plays identical on both, with one always looking and runing better. This is a thread about graphics not gameplay, typical strawman argument. Deflection and damage control.

Why do MS keep talking about the power diff and trying to spin? Forza is a terrible example as look how downgraded that game is to get to 1080p and 60 FPS. They should just focus on the strengths of the console, their spin all the time makes it even worse. Cringe worthy bad PR spin, people are not idiots.

Nice to see you again, but still you are just repeating the self over and over and over again... it's getting boring, seriously.

Ok, this explains a lot. Seems to be your misunderstanding.

GT6 does.  So does Grid.  And even GT PSP has some 3D crowds, as well.  Of course, we can just choose to ignore that these are supposed to be next gen machines, and continue to use assets from the PS1 era.  Like 2D walls of trees and 2D cutout crowds.  No need to move forward.

I believe you are wrong. But that's okay.

You are still flaming and crying, good job and great contribution.

Microsoft is taking lessons learned from their current mistakes like Sony did with the PS3. That's a good thing...for the next generation.
