Forums - Gaming Discussion - Dispelling the myth: Vita haz no gaemz (24+ beg to differ) [challenging the boundaries of what counts as a "game"!]

Besides the fact that the Vita can remote play nearly every PS4 game, I must say that Killzone Mercenaries is one of the funnest games and best first person shooters I've played in a long time. Also Sly Cooper was such a fun platformer which they really just dont make many of these days. I played like 95% of it on the Vita and 5% on PS3. Those 2 me are must plays. Even Uncharted Golden Abyss was pretty great. Haven't got around to Tearaway, but those 3 games alone made it worth the purchase.

So for you , a sequel is a non existant game even if the sequel is one of the best of the serie? -_-
Ok, now i know you're a troll.

Wipeout 2048 is an exclusive wipeout, eurogamer is talking about the HD and fury DLC, nice try though :)

a game doesnt need to redefine the serie to be a different game, the fact is you cant play these games anywhere else than on Vita.  Stop being childish.

Now tell me, how many unique experiences 3DS have ? You see you're completely wrong, 3DS sells only because it has experiences already known, people dont want unique expeirences, they want big famous ip(monster hunter , Mario kart, mario 3D, SSB, Dragon Quest, ... ), so your point is totally irrelevant.

And Vita only sells because of ports of games people already know. See I can make baseless statements too.

@FoxMan250--> If you have PSn plus account -- theres dynasty warriors ,, Guacomele and Gravity rush free for psvita. I have only played Gravity Rush and its good game ,, worth trying :).

I am not. Wipeout2048 contains all the tracks from HD and Fury which are ps3 games right? Am i missing something. The people who created Wipeout did not buiild new tracks for VIta. Pretty much is ps3 wipeout with a different name to be honest. DO explain how is it different when you are playing the same exact tracks with control scheme taht feels exactly like DUAL SHOCK controller but on a smaller screen. The only difference is teh screen pirce and teh drop in resolution. You may not like it ,, but it provides a level of immersion which you can't get on a console. The feeling that you are looking into a box is quite cool especially when playing a horror game. Itr doesn't work wih all genre but when it works its quite awesome. Like in Super mario 3ds version ,, the reviews said turing 3d on provided the sense a vertigo. you can't get on a console. Thats what i mean by unique experience. Playing games on the vita is liek playing games on a dual shock controller. Theres no much different unless teh developers uses the additional functionality that psvita has to offer. You do know,, there are peopel who don't mind teh graphic effects when 3d is turned on. Its always about power,, or resolution ,, clearly shown by nintendo dominance in the handheld market.

So you are telling me all sony fans here are casual gamers? Because correct me if i am wrong,, sony consoles caters more to the hard core group right? PS vita is a hardcore handheld right? In that case where was teh support from Sony fans. Why didn't sony;'s fans bought vita. I mean from last gen there were 80 million users yet only 7 million bought vita . explain that. Thats bollocks. Fifa, COD, Assasin creed, Killzone, uncharted are all famous IP well before Vita even existed . By your definition,, the vita should be a great success since "casual gamers" go for big famous IP. How many copies did each above games sell in its lifetime on Vita? There are unique ones like tear away, gravity rus h, soul scarifice,, but they are not enough. Now that you reminded me,, i though t sony gamers love unique game experience . I mean since you guys have lots of indies and games like heavy rain right? Then wheres teh support for it. Explain that

I'm going to probably get moderated for this but reading your responses is giving me a headache. Not only because of your spelling errors which, next to auto correct in todays world... ... but because your "adoration" towards 3DS and hate towards PSV can only be matched by another VGC troll knows as Kaizar. So to put things into simple, the least offensive term that I can master, you're an idiot. Since you clrealy are not even capable of reading and understanding a simple post, I'll try to explain things in most simple words I can type.

Wipeout 2048 is a NEW Wipeout game, which means that the game has NEW tracks designed specifically for Vita. Do you understand? The whole campaign is NEW. New as in not available before 2048... Wipeout HD and Fury are a DLC, which people that own those games on PS3 get for FREE, and those that don't can buy from PSN store. And in doing that they add more CONTENT to the game. So NO, Wipeout 2048 is not a PS3 Wipeout under a different name. Capisce?

3D is the most worthless gimmick mass marketed in the past decade. And if you look at adaptation rates of tech that can provide 3D experiance you can trully see how "desirable" it actually is.  Playing games on Vita is like looking at controller? Sure, the low ress, low contrast, low ppi 3DS screen is trully a sight to behold. And if you still haven't noticed the companies that dominate handheld market are Apple and Google. Almost 2 billion phones nad 300 million tablets shipped in 2013 alone kinda point that out. And majority of them actually has better screens, and better tech under the hood than 3DS... And look at that, nobody gives a f*** if the phone or tablet can't offer 3D experiance...

Obviously 7,5 million SONY fans did buy a Vita. That's still more that Nintendo fans that bought the super amazing, inovative, gold plated, diamond creating Wii U.

40 million  nintendo fans did buy the 3ds, that's more then the 3ds and PS4 combined

@Christian Soldier -- Yea someone pointed to me that it exists on the Wii. As i was saying before,, the experience on the ds for teh game is different then to the Wii. The use of Touchscreen , microphone to shout objection makes a different for people. At the time of the release of the game the use of DS touch screen and its other capabilities provided experiences that at time wasn't available. It was DS selling point. Sure you can use the wii mote but according to the review ,, you have to Dpad to select soemthing. That can get anoying and frustating for players as it was jsut point click on the ds version. Already from the review theres a difference in expereince even if tis small. You can't just point like you normally can fro a wii game. Plus the Wii game has 4 cases not 5 liek shown in ds. Instead the 5th case is charged moeny to get it whereas it was free for the DS. I would assume the iphone adn ipad experience would be similar to ds right?

Isn't it obvious?

3DS > 3DS + PS4

Therefore

subtract 3DS on both sides

0>PS4,

PS4 has sold negative consoles.

Sorry, I meant vita

@TOM 3K. This what eurogamer said about Wipeout 2048 "So for anyone left pining for a more traditional WipEout fix on the Vita, this is a perfect solution, with each and every event from the PlayStation 3's HD and Fury moving across to the handheld. The port is as immaculate as you could hope for, and it's faithful enough to make the Vita version of WipEout arguably the most comprehensive installment of the series to date. "

I am replying from work and my work pc doesn't allow me to use the Auto correct. Everytime i click on it ,, it crashes. Hence why i do multiple replies if i forget something. i can't even edit. Worst still,, i click on quote and reply. it won't let me. Sorry for the bad typos. Don't worry i would never report you or anyone . I have both 3ds and ps vita. Both are good consoles but i am disappointed with 3ds as its not much more then DS apart from teh 3d effect.

Gimmicky or not ,, it works on the 3ds. Its less gimmicky then the touchscreen at the back of the PSvita as thats uncessaryy. At least there haev been games that proven to use teh 3d effect in smart ways ,, resident evil revelations is a great example ,, followed by super mario 3d land. I meant playing games on the psvita is liek playign games using a ps controller on a big screen as theres no difference between the two. Its that one is less res then the others. Even though 3DS graphis aren't as good as the vita but to do 3D effects and at 60fps is quite impressive despite what you mentioned. And despite the power disadvantage there 40 over million 3ds user and 7 million + vita users. See the difference. Its not always about power.

You can't be serious about smartphones that are simialr and part of the handhelg gamign market. You do knwo they are not part of gaming. They are in their own category lol. Do you actually beleive Temple run2 , angry birds provide AA A expereinces foudn in handheld gaming devices? Thanks for the good laugh XD Better still try playing fps with no physical button XD. Keep trying. You do knwo the lieks of Apple and samsung are aprt of teh phone market,, specifially teh smartphone market. Thats different to the gameing market both handle or console. Therefore Nintendo is still king in the handheld gaming market. Thats because Nintendo are to stubborn to listen to teh console market and don't want to provide what teh consumers want for consoles hence why they are in that position. Similary for the ps vita hence why it sellign so poorly
