Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you feel the need to %100 every game?

I have never finished 100% of any game. I usually finish the story mode. Then if it has exploration then I roam around.

I have too many great games to play to spend my time with side stuff, so unless I just can't get enough of certain game(twewy is the last example I can think of), I just go through the main story.

No, and I´m glad for that.

I used to, and then I got a job. I couldn't care less now. As long as I beat the game on the hardest setting and I've experienced most of what it has to offer, I'm content. Some things for 100% are either too ridiculous or just an utter waste of my time. I prefer to move on to the next game. I have so many anyway.

depends how fun it is. I'll play til my interest is gone.

Lego City for example, I was loving it, but damn... far too many collectibles!

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I used to, but then I figured what does it matter, achievements/trophies are rarely things that add anything to a game beyond forced repetition, kinda like questing forcing you to retrack your steps and cover old ground to extend the length of the game, then of course you have games with online trophies which IMO is dumb, online modes don't need them.

But most of all, beyond a virtual POS epeen that nobody truly cares about, there's no real benefit.

Allow us to trade platinums/gamerpoints for download credit or greater discounts, THEN I'll give a crap, or add trophies that cannot be obtained through reading a guide, trophy guides destroy the very point of them and turn them in to nothing more than a chore.

I wouldn't have discovered some amazing Metal Gear Solid 2 easter eggs if it wasn't for achievements, though xD

Yup, I'm an obsessive trophy whore.

I often give up halfway though.

Nope, I actualy even have a hard time beating the main storyline in games. The amount of games that i own that i have beaten is abysmal. Probably around 20%. I havent platinumed any of the games i own on the ps3, but i have gotten 100% of the achievements on 360 on a couple of games over the course of the gen.

Lets see... Fight night 3, oblivion, mass effect, mass effect 2, mass effect 3, and the walking dead... That is it...

Never, I do as much as I can as long as it's fun. The second it becomes boring I just main it. Normally end up around 65%.

An if they're more than 20 collectibles, forget it.
