I think most of us have come to realize that the Wii U will be thankful just to pull Gamecube numbers, but is there anyone who still thinks a turnaround is possible? If so, post why you think so! Maybe it's something we've all overlooked!
Wii U doomed to Gamecube-like sales?
Yep, sadly... | 340 | 49.85%
No! Believe it! | 340 | 49.85%
Total: | 680 |

Depends on how many units = saved...
If your comparing it to gamecube, then yea, but ur comparing it to the wii, than no, if its n64, than maybe
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
I keep thinking that people overestimate Mario Kart. It will move units, but they won't make a difference in the long-term and it will be the worst selling MK ever.
Smash Bros, on the other hand. That might give WiiU a chance! :3
I don't see mario kart or smash bros selling more than 5-10 million lifetime. These games will increase sales, a bit, but they cannot possibly save the wiiu. 20 million wiiu buyers will not come from the 5 or so million that bought these games. Though the entirety of the library may, by including these games...
what is turnaround? Its still under GC numbers and that was considered a failure. anything that is close to N64 would be good numbers, but I dont think thats whats going to happen.
These great games won't save the Wii U. Only Nintendo can save the Wii U. Not developing games but a change of mind.
No not really. Nintendo should just focus on games and profitability. It has enough IPs in every genre to keep people busy for a few years. The system itself will be lucky to cross 20 mil lifetime.
I don't want to say no, but no. It is a shame really because I will be picking up a $200 wii u with these 2 games.
