Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Seriously...wtf did Reggie talk about ?

“The marketing activity is going to be constant throughout the entire year. You tease me a little bit that ‘boy the first half [of 2013] was a little quiet,’ and y’know what, you look back and it was. We’re not going to be making that same mistake in 2014.”  <------ YOU DO RIGHT NOW !

“So the pace, the ongoing activity, touching the consumer, and messaging what we’re all about. That’s going to be a big difference next year.”           <---------- WTF !?

WHY DID REGGIE SAY THAT ?

In my opninion 2013 was better than 2014 o.0

Typical PR BS. It is not like he is going to outright say "hey we have two major games for the first six months". Unless, they have something in the pipeline for april like a retail version of Wii Sports Club or that rumored port of LM Dark Moon

On the one hand I think it is nearly the same, not worse and not better. But on the other hand it wouldn't be better to say 'hey guys, here are our products but we have nothing great for Wii U until the end of May' So they should be quiet... But of course they should use the time for advertisement and say to everyone that the Wii U is a new console... sad to say that one and a half year after the release...

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

For me DKC alone makes first half of 2014 better than the first half of 2013, even though we had Lego City then... and Game and Wario. Those two are all I can remember of first party titles from 2013.

We'll see if the end of 2014 are as good as 2013, but with SSB coming and hopefully more announced titles, let's not forget Hyrule Warriors either. I think that will be a small hit, not what the Wii U really needs but still a fun game.

Yep.

What else is he going to say? He can't just say "well we have no games until May 30th" because then you kill potential sales because you kill consumer confidence in your product.

but third party support was a little bit better,

monster hunter 3u, Injustice, resident evil revelation

I think you're forgetting the NES and SNES VC games and we sure didn't completed those games 10 times already, right guys?

For Reggie, Donkey Kong Country Returns and Mario Kart is a-okay for the first X Months of the Year

He will be looking at Nintendo releases. 2 fairly big releases in a few Months is good for a 1st party publisher, the problem though isnt Nintendo's own output on the system.

First Party support is practically at its peak performance for this year.
