No offense taken. I was just stating that everybody (pbublishers) in this industry buy games.

No exemptions. It's more financially safe than owning a studio.

I suspect this will lead not to JRPGs etc. but Japanese developers expanding their western operations e.g. Capcom will just make more games like Dead Rising and Dragon's Dogma whilst allowing more obviously Japanese IPs like Onimusha to languish. Also means more outsourcing to western devs like DmC and Castlevania: Lord of Shadows

In other words, I don't think we're heading back to the PS2 era
