Well... TitanFall is gonna move a bunch of units so the x1 should go up but if its just for arguement's sake, I would guess when either MK8 or SSB comes out for the wiiU

The majority of people who would buy an xbox one right now probably also own a 360. Many others probably also own a pc. I think this translates into titanfall not being as big of a system mover as some people think. I think the xbox one will staabilize higher than the wiiu, but maybe not that much higher. it's sales are falling a lot every single week, and they continue to do so, so I still could be wrong.

If it does, Iwata will throw a huge party to celebrate Xbox One's failure  and will get very drunk.

Xbox One is going to fall lower and will remain there. Microsoft cannot sell anything in Japan. They were already a clear second choice in Europe. The only thing that helped them were dramatically disproportionate wins in North America. Now they won't even have that.

The second and much more important issue is that Xbox One is designed as an all or nothing solution. There isn't a way to pick it up as a cheap second console. There isn't a way to dabble with it or impulse buy it to do something with your buds and then forget about it later.

It demands to be the center of your home entertainment center. It has to have the Kinect working. The Xbox Live requirement is so restrictive that you can't even use it as a streaming box if you decide not to game or are waiting for something new then you still have to shell out that money every month will very little in return. You are either hardcore or you are gone and in this case the hardcore are clearly choosing PS4.

Nintendo is much smarter in this regard. It's quite clear the WiiU is $250 with pack in game. It has free online play. It is the perfect second choice this generation. It is backwards compatible with everything Wii so the value proposition is great for someone who has blown all their cash on their main console.

This just doesn't work with Microsoft. You have to spend $500 plus game plus Live for a year. When it drops lower, so will everyone else. The choice was to go head to head and either win or lose. They've lost.

I predict wiiu to sell more weekly than Xbox1 once the launch hype has died down.

isnt the launch hype already died down? Only PS4 is still in full hype mode. X1 isnt sold out everywhere and is down alot despite a good amount on shelves. Anyway WiiU>X1 has a chance this week

I predict 3rd party devs saying "x1 sales are not enough to provide quality ports" and a new shift to ps4/wii u multiplats with x1 getting no dlc.

That's very very unlikely to happen.  Wii U is closer to PS3/360 specs than PS4.  Once devs stop focusing on PS3/360 we're unlikely to see ports to Wii U of hardly anything (not that there are many even announced now).

Really, nobody detected that obvious sarcasm?
I mean, no ports on x1 would maybe be possible, but no dlc? On the most expensive platform that charges for online? No way.

many weeks, not only this one.

I don't know, but if it did, wow. MS would probably exit the industry.

Don't worry, the power of pay to play online will save them!

I think Xbox Live is a net loss for them.

The X1 is going to stabilize well under the Wii U. It's pretty obvious at this point.

Am I the only one who thinks the hype about Titanfall is overblown? Don't get me wrong. It looks cool but it's going to appeal to a small subset of gamers. It's not something that's going to sell across the board in a console-saving way. I'm sure it's a cool game but it's not the savior MS is praying for.

I can't speak for others, but for me, the XBox is toast. I think it's going to tank hard now that the fanbase had bought them up. The brand has been irreparably damaged by the incessant and expensive repair cycle the 360 put its users on and the limp customer service from MS in that regard sealed the deal. I know too many people who are on their 4th or 5th 360s and who have sworn off buying any new MS consoles. That includes me. The PS4 is going to kill X1 amongst hardcore gamers and Nintendo will remain unchallenged in the family and casual gaming market.

I've predicted this for quite a while now. And I'm completely unsurprised watching it happen.
