It was first found in 2012, but supposedly it's from 2010. This made the document "predict" 2011 perfectly. Also apparently Microsoft ordered a few websites to take it down so people used that as proof it was real.

On the other hand, 2012 and on are full of horrible inaccuracies. Are they just because things changed, or was this fake all along?

Anyone who says this gen is even remotely over is wrong. PS4 has won nothing. A good start, but MS are following their own vision. Something I don't think Sony has. Sony reacted and took out PS Eye to be cheaper. But their future is what, more PS3.5 games?

5 years from now I really feel PS will be in trouble as a brand. It will not have moved forward.

Have you looked at the sales figures yet Selnor, PS4 outsold XBO 2:1 last month in the US. PS4 is absolutely destroying them in Europe. People have completely rejected Microsoft's "vision" and now their new console is selling almost as poorly as the WiiU. Sony's "vision" this gen was to make better hardware and better games. And it's working out great. It's a straight ahead upgrade from the PS3, like the NES to SNES, or the PS1 to the PS2. I suppose the PS2 and SNES were poor consoles in your eyes as well? 

And Sony wasn't the one "reacting" to their competitors this gen and sacrificing their "vision". That was Microsoft when they completely changed their original idea for the console and basically made it a straight ahead upgrade of the 360. Except they bundled Kinect for very little and rather stupid reasons. The XBO is a stronger 360 with Kinect bundled. I'm not sure how that's innovative in the slightest. How is the PS brand going to be in trouble when they're absolutely wrecking XBO this gen? This isn't even a close fight anymore. Look at the sales figures if you don't believe me.

if it was a fake it was a really good one. Of course it was apparently a draft of a pitch document full of pie in the sky predictions and concepts so it's not surprising it didn't end up all being 100%. Trying to predict a year ahead in tech is bloody hard let alone 4.

While i don't think PS brand will be in trouble like selnor, i agree it won't have moved forward heck it already didn't with the ps4... They just updated the power and dashboard, added some more stuff to match the competition and that it.... Beside being from Sony and imo the worst pad design since the nintendo, the lack of imagination is the other reason I have close to 0 interest in the PS... Even their games lack ambition beside graphics imo..

anyway the MS attorneys went full on when that shit surfaced... So the document was real.... The question is what is still part of their long term plans...

You should worry more about the Xbox brand, investors want to kill it, the new CEO doesnt  like it, it'd be bad for the industry if MS decided to quit from the gaming business, it's a real possibility.

 Sony had a clear vision for the PS4: it was set out to be a gaming machine first, they delivered with the best hardware 399 dollars could buy. It doesn't need to do much else, voice control, camera etc, these are all gimmicks that are a nice little extra on the PS4 and even work really good too, (Playroom streaming was a huge success), but the console isn't build around it so it doesnt have to compromise on the thing it does best: gaming. It doesnt need to do more just like I dont expect my smartphone suddenly to evolve into a different line of electronics.

MS' vision and messaging is very confusing. TV, sports media, features and apps that only matter to Americans, online DRM, no used games, all the 180s since then, all in one entertainment system yada yada, they forgot about the gamer and thats why PS4 is selling more, Sony's messaging was strong with the gamers.To sum up: one company listened to their customers.

Hubris is haunting MS, they acted like Sony in 2006 and MS hasnt even won a console gen.

Bbb bbbu buuttt the Kinect 2.0 dude!! More accurate than Kinect 1 (even though there arent really specific games made for it yet)! Volume control! Skeleton tracking! Also dont forget about the sports, TV programming and Snap. I need to check my facebook whenever I'm gaming, most groundbreaking feature since PS1 brought 3D gaming.

Lol Turkish just lol... You do realize you are talking out of your ass with your first paragraph... CEO doesn't hate Xbox... And less MS shareholders want to axe Xbox division than Sony shareholders want to split Sony... Heck the biggest Sony shareholder wants to split it... Not gonna happen though

while the rest is more or less true... Your smartphone is already an evolution into an other line of electronics... The phone part in smartphones is almost irrelevant now a day... Especially when it comes to purchase decision....

Xbox one is I admit out of its time but certainly not a bad idea... It is exactly where we are heading whether""""gamers"""" like it or not...why would I bother with tones of electronic when all I need is a computing media hub with cloud integration and terminals.... With technological improvement in public infrastructure... The need for a PC a gaming machine or anything powerful will be completely irrelevant... Centralization ease of use and low cost will drive sales... You'll have one smart machine to rule them all it is quite evident actually... The question is not if but when the shift will really happen it could be any time in the next 10 to 25 years... Depending on variables...
